Makeup from Penneys/Primark Part 1

I was in Penneys/Primark last weekend and couldn't resist having a wander through the makeup section (like I do every time I go in there, I mean, you never know when you'll get a bargain!)

Anyway, I digress... So they had some makeup on sale for 50 cents, but nothing really caught my eye until I saw "It's a Cover Up smart foundation with brush applicator."  It was €4.00 and I couldn't resist having a go.  I got it in the colour Light, I'm usually NW 15 in MAC foundations.

It comes in a squeezable tube with a plastic lid.  When you pull the lid off, it unclicks the mechanism that stops the product from coming out.  You squeeze enough product out and start applying it on your face.  I like to squeeze the product out onto my face and use my MAC 109 brush to blend it in.  I don't like the ideato of using the brush applicator every day what with bacteria and gross germs that can contaminate it.

The foundation itself has a bit of a smell to it, but it's not too bad at all.  The consistancy is nice and light, I don't like thick foundations.  It gives a sheer coverage, but isn't too buildable.  When I applied a second layer, I could see the first layer moving around as I blended it all in, but it does blend well and dries quickly to a lovely natural finish, not cakey at all.

I will wear it tomorrow all day at work and test it's staying power and report back then.

Until then... :)

UPDATE: I wore this all day today and I must say, I'm impressed! I put a thick enough layer on and then set it with my MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural and it lasted quite well indeed.  I was a bit oily around my T Zone but nothing too bad, so all in all, I think it was a success!  I might wear it again ,/for a couple more days to see if it makes me break out, but for now, a success!
