Catrice Lashes to Kill Mascara review

I love trying new mascaras.  And the fact that you're *supposed* to throw them away after three months means that 99% of mascaras I own or have tried have been drugstore ones.  I can't justify spending €25 euro on something that'll last such a short time.  That being said, I have asked for higher end mascaras as presents for birthdays and Christmas pressies over the years!

Today I shall be reviewing Catrice's Lashes to Kill Eye-opening Effect Mascara.  I bought this last month along with the Catrice Stay on Eyeliners.  It cost €4.49 and I just looked at the tube again and it says I can keep it for 6 months, woo hoo!

The wand is small which means you can get every lash without poking yourself in the eye or making a mess on your eyelid.  The formulation is on the wetter side, but I've had it for about 4 weeks now and it's starting to dry a bit, which I prefer personally.

On my eyelashes it's more of a lengthening mascara than a thickening one.  You can see above the difference it makes and that's just with one coat.

Here you can see both eyes with one coat of the mascara.

It hardly clumps at all as you can see from above.  My eyelashes are long and separated.  I've worn it to work a good few times and it stays put and doesn't gather under my eyes leaving the unsightly mascara dust all girls hate hehe  The only thing I don't like is that because the formulation is so wet, by the time you've combed the brush through your eyelashes from root to tip, there isn't too much product left on the brush for the tips, so I usually have to apply a second coat just to the tips of my eyelashes to make them look even.

I'm happy enough with the mascara.  I don't think I love it enough to buy it again but it's good value for money and I'd give it a 3.5/5.  Has anyone else tried it?  If so, whadaya think about it??

  1. OOhhhhh....so getting this. i used to love the larger brushes (bog brush???) ...but as of late I much prefer the smaller ones as they clump less. And this is less than a fiver! WIN!!!
