The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes

The Body Shop are launching three new shimmer cubes this month and are going to be part of the permanent make up range.  Aren't they gorgeous?

Bunch of Violets (Left),  Blue Moon (Top),  Green Light (Bottom)
The shimmer is thanks to the high concentration of make up pearls, which catch the light when applied on the eyelid.  Applied dry, the shadows give a beautiful wash of subtle colour and applied wet (you know I love to do this), it gives a more intense finish.  I think Bunch of Violets is my favourite out of the newbies!

I haven't tried the new Shimmer Cubes out yet but I do have two of the older Shimmer Cubes in my collection, so thought I'd show them to you so you can see the type of finish you get with them.

These shadows are truly gorgeous.  Shimmer Cube 07 is my favourite of the two so I decided to play around with it a bit to show you how they apply.  Now, I messed around with the shadows in the container so I'm not 100% if I have the names right, but I'll give it a shot.  Top left is Dusted Silver, top right is Ruby, bottom left is Argyle Pink and bottom right is Rich Bronze (I think).

I applied Rich Bronze all over the lid for a wash of colour.  When this is applied dry, it's very subtle, so apply wet for a stronger colour.  I then applied Ruby in the outer V and along my upper lashline.  To make it stand out more, I applied it wet over the dry shadow and blended.  On the inner corner I applied Dusted Silver and slapped some mascara on leaving me with a shimmery wearable look for work.  If I was heading out after work, I'd layer on some eye liner and I'd be good to go.

The shimmer cubes are €24.50 and for that you get 4 x 4g of product.  It might sound expensive but I can't see me running out of them any time soon.  They apply like butter with hardly any fallout, are extremely blendable and basically a joy to work with.  Apart from Bunch of Violets, I have my eye on the Warm Shimmer Cube, it's gorgeous and would be very happy in my stash along with these two cubes.

Has anyone tried any of the Shimmer Cubes from The Body Shop?  What ones do I need to try?
