Joanne's first haul

Its was long weekend and whats a girl gonna do?  SHOP!  I havent been proper shopping in ages, where I actually buy things I dont technically need, but I had so much fun spending my money :)

Firstly I got a couple of scarves.  I LOVE scarves!!  The scarf on the right is from Penneys and was €4.  Its navy and white striped and lovely and soft.   They come in beige and white as well as dark grey and white, which I had to buy for Karen and my Mam.  The scarf on the left is from New Look which I got in Belfast for £5.99.  I love the dark grey colour, plus it also looks a bit scruffy and worn.

On my list of things to buy is something a bit more dressy for work, and when I mean dressy I mean not trousers.  They're all I ever wear!  Karen spotted this dress in Doonays Boutique - yes! Dunnes Stores!  Its such a comfy but pretty dress.  They had it in a bright pink with a dark navy belt but I would get more wear out of the navy dress.  Only £19/€22!

This cardigan came from New Look for £10.99 and it goes so well with the dress too.

Next comes my new favourite dress which I got in Belfast.  I never ever shop in Monsoon, I find it too expensive in Dublin when you look at the conversion rate from sterling so I would walk by the shop and not give it a second glance, but as my Mam was looking for a cardigan, we popped in here to see if we could see anything, and this dress caught my eye immediately.  Was €99/£65, reduced to £32.50.  Its a light cream and khaki green tie dye maxi dress and I love it - might be a foot too long but I'll get it taken up asap and I cannot wait to wear it.  Its a heavy cotton feel and feels so comfy on.  I HEART it!!

And then, my purchase of the year :) I had been in Blanch with Karen and my Mam a couple of weeks ago and this bag caught all our eyes.  It's Star by Julien McDonald and it's a snake-skinned print with sequins. I loved it instantly but €42 was too much for me to even consider buying it... until Sunday when I saw it was on sale for €29!  So I had to get it, just because.  It's the type of bag that when I want to use it I will create an outfit around the bag.  I love it.  It's so elegant and well made and the perfect Christmas Party bag too.  I think myself and Karen should get GREAT use out of it!!

I will upload a video this weekend with each item on so you can see the fit and how it moves.

Thanks for reading my first entry here!! :)
