NOTD - Sally Hansen's Plum's The Word

I got this polish in my goody bag from The Best in Beaut.ie Awards on Thursday and both Joanne and I oohed and ahhed over it.  The shade is Plum's the Word and it's muted mauvey plum creme polish that has brown undertones making it a really warm shade.  It has the same tones as Sephora by OPI's Metro Chic and Sally Hansen's Commander in Chic and makes a gorgeous "work appropriate" nail polish.  I used quotation marks there because I wear anything on my nails to work but know there are others out there who aren't quite so lucky!

It looks darker on my nails than it does in the bottle and is so hard to photograph properly.  It's a thick polish and I used two coats when applying it but I could have left it at one.  Take a look below and see what it looks like with flash, no flash and no flash with a bit more daylight!  I love that it looks so different in each photo.

This polish retails at €8.95 in pharmacies around the country.  To take a look at more swatches, check out this post.  Me likey this a lot.  What do you think?

  1. Looks like the perfect color for fall! Where I am right now, the weather is crappy, I can totally imagine myself with this color on my nails holding a hot cup of tea. LOL. Silly right? :)

  3. Fab colour.. used it on my mams nails for a wedding and everyone admired it on her! Middle pic you've taken looks most like it did on her. Great choice for someone that wouldnt generally wear polish!
