Lancome Rouge in Love Lipstick - 292N Chez Prune

Last week I introduced you to Lancome's latest offering, the Rouge in Love collection and showed you what the beautiful shade Midnight Rose looks like.  Today we're going darker.  Another of the Tonight Is My Night set, Chez Prune fits the description of being an intense, sophisticated shade, perfect for a night out.
Now, as we know, I like my nude shades but I'm becoming braver wearing brighter lipsticks.  When I first clapped eyes on Chez Prune, I looked at it wide-eyed, thinking "who wears something this dark"?  It looks intensely dark in the tube but you can see from the swatch on my arm below that it's a deep red/wine shade and here's the clincher for me, it has a glossy finish!

Chez Prune has pinky undertones rather than the unflattering brown undertones that don't suit me too well.  I know some people might find this an intimidating colour to wear, especially us pale folks, so I'm going to feature it in an upcoming make up look, but for now, take a look at it on my lips!  With a colour this dark and glossy, I'd recommend lining the lips lightly to make sure the colour doesn't bleed and feather.

The Rouge in Love lipsticks are €25 and are available now exclusively to Brown Thomas in Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Galway and will be available on Lancome counters from April 1st.
