Image Beauty Awards 2012

One of my favourite things to do is read the Beauty Awards in magazines and then go though my stash to see what ones I have, smug in the knowledge that I have award winning products in my home and on my face!  However, Beauty Awards have their down side too.... This is the part that they don't tell you about... And a beauty junkie will agree with me here...  Beauty Awards make you want to try all of the products.  Within half an hour, your wishlist will have doubled or tripled.  Bye bye money.

On stands today is the latest issue of Image magazine, complete with the Image Beauty Awards 2012.  I read the list of winners yesterday and devoured each category whilst mentally flicking through my stash thinking "Yep, I agree, ooh, must try that".  Here are the products that I've tried over the past year that have made it onto the list!

Best Eyeliner - Maybelline Gel Eyeliner.  Read my review of this amazing product here.  It's one of the best gel eyeliners I've ever tried and made all the better that you can get it in the chemist!

Best Eye Pencils - Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliners.  There would have been something seriously wrong if they didn't win this category!  The love is huge everywhere for these seriously gorgeous eyeliners and you can see how I used one in the shade Blackberry here.  I'm sure you're probably sick of me going on about them, but they're just too good.  If you try them yourself, you'll agree, guaranteed!

Best Eyeshadows - Chanel Illusion D'Ombre.  I fell in love with Epatant last year and had to make it mine.  Have a look and see for yourself, I have swatches galore.

Best Lip Balm - Smith's Rosebud Salve.  One of my all time favourite lip balms, I'm rarely without mine and keep one on my desk at work.  One of the girls at work comes into my office for chats and to use the lip balm, that's how good it is.  I offered to give it to her and she said "Eh no, I'd have no reason to come in here then."  Fact.

Best Blushers - NYC Blushable Creme Stick.  For a mere €3.50, this is a brilliantly priced product that punches way above it's price.  In The Love with these and you need to try them.  Do it.  And read about them here.

Best Cleanser - Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing System.  Oh ladies.  The Moringa Balm and Rosehip Seeds are just amazing.  I have been rationing the last dregs of my Moringa Balm for the past couple of weeks and will be buying more.  Emma launched her 200ml pot of Moringa Balm in the UK recently and hopefully she'll bring it to us here in Ireland soon!

Best Nail Polish Range - Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure.  Another no brainer.  I love the Sally Hansen polishes.  A bit too much probably.  But come on, look at the colours, they're so pretty!  I can't help it and I've stopped trying to fight the love..

Best Healing Product - Cicaplast Baume B5.  I wrote about this yesterday and how it helped me with my near death* experience.  €12.50 well spent if you ask me.  *Not actual near death, just attack by thorny plant.

Best Shampoo & Conditioner - Ojon Damage Reverse Shampoo & Conditioner.  A little goes a long way with these products and they made my hair look beautiful and healthy.

I now have a list as long as my arm of products I want to try!

Check out Image Magazine for the rest of the winners and to be in with a chance of winning the entire list of Beauty Award winners!

  8. Hi, landing on this blog a little late, I just need to know- Can you still get Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner? In the pencil form I mean? The website only has the gel pot, not the pencils and I've seen a lot of reviews complaining that it has been discontinued, is this true?

    Thanks
