We love J's Everyday Fashion!

One of our favourite fashion blogs is J's Everyday Fashion; a blog that seeks to answer the question "what works in real life"?  It's written by the gorgeous J who lives in sunny Florida and makes us jealous with her bright and colourful wardrobe that makes us poor folk in Ireland yearn for summer time!

We love when she posts her outfit of the day alongside a photo that inspired her and it makes us believe we can do it too!  She shows us how to repurpose clothes already in your wardrobe and tells us how to pack for travelling, something we all struggle with.  Since blazers are all the rage at the moment, she tells us how to wear a black blazer 10 ways.  I think our favourite thing we've learned from the blog is that you don't have to buy lots of expensive pieces to look stylish, you just have to use your imagination and get inside your wardrobe.  We've been dying to ask her a few questions and introduce the ladies of Ireland to the lovely J!

What made you start blogging?
Although blogs are written by "everyday" people, I couldn't find a single fashion blogger I could relate to.  I started my blog to prove that someone can be fashionable on a small budget and that style can be learned.  I continue blogging because I love helping women, and I think we need more resources pertaining to "real" style, where woman can get help with their fashion questions!

How would you describe your style?
I'm in my 20s so I like to dabble in a bit of everything.  I'm colorful and adventurous, boho at times, and preppy at others!

What's your favourite outfit you've ever worn on the blog?
Don't make me choose just one!  It's really impossible to choose, but this one is definitely high on my list!

We love that you give yourself a monthly budget for buying clothes and stick to it.  What's the most expensive item you've ever bought?
I spent $200 on a black bustier dress a few years ago that is still my absolute favourite.  It will never go out of style and as long as I can fit into it, it will be my go-to for weddings and dressy occasions.  My other big purchases are definitely purses.  I like to invest in real leather so I have several that cost between $120-$250.

What five things should every girl have in her wardrobe?
I think this list is different depending on what you do for work and the climate where you live, but every woman should own a pair of jeans that make her feel amazing and a great dress like the one above to have in a pinch for a date or a night out.

What has been your biggest fashion disaster?
There are too many to count!  I really think making fashion "mistakes" is half the fun though.  You can learn from them and they help you define and refine your personal style.  So don't be afraid to try anything new!

What are you looking forward to wearing this spring and summer?
Color!! I can't wait to do more color-blocking.  My favourite colors at the moment are mint, mustard and any shade of pink.

Being a beauty blog, we want to know all about your beauty regime, so spill the beans!
I have a very simple beauty regime.  I've been doing pretty much the same thing since 8th grade and it takes me less than 5 minutes every day.  Right now almost everything I use is Cover Girl, Loreal and Neutrogena.

If you could give one piece of advice about style, what would it be?
Don't be afraid to try something new!  And spend some quality time in your closet looking at what you already own in a new way.  You probably have more outfits in there than you think!

J has made it to the top 2 in the Lauren Conrad blogging contest and we're really hoping she wins, we're not biased or anything!  Click here to visit her Facebook page that is full to the brim of photos that'll make you want to dive into your wardrobe and start making new outfits with what you already have, what more could you ask for?!

Thanks so much J for answering our questions and keep on inspiring us here at Lovely Girlie Bits!
