Shopping in the sales and Joanne's outfit of the night with some of her purchases!

Summer sales have finally started and that means one thing - shopping!!!  I haven't been in town in forever so Karen and I hit the shops on Saturday and all I had planned was to get a scarf, since I do have a teeny tiny scarf addiction.   I spotted a scarf in Warehouse a few weeks ago in Belfast and I was still thinking about it which meant I just had to get it (any excuse).  It's so pretty!  It's a really full snood with a flowery print and has so many colours that it can be worn with anything.  Then Karen picked out some dusky pink skinny jeans.  I don't own any skinny jeans, I always thought I never had the legs for them, so I couldn't pull them off, especially a coloured pair, but I really liked them on.  Plus €22 off the price too - it was a sign from above.  When I went to buy the scarf and jeans I realised that they looked well together so my outfit for going out to dinner that night revolved around that!  I thought this white top would be a good match with the jeans as it's a perfect length (cover the bum) and nice and flowy and the cardigan was heavy enough to keep me warm.   The shoes ... the shoes I just heart... I find it so difficult to find shoes that fit, that don't hurt me, especially slip on ones since I have trouble with my feet thanks to arthritis and these bad boys are just perfect.  Perfect heel height for me and so comfortable. I really want them in black too so say a prayer that Marks and Spencers restock them soon!

And here's my outfit!

Scarf - Warehouse. Was €26 on sale for €20
Skinny Jeans - Warehouse. Was €52 on sale for €30
Shoes - Marks & Spencers - €20
Top - Macys from a couple of years ago.
Cardigan - Asda from Christmas.

Will and I ended up in the Oar House in Howth for our dinner.  It's one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin.   It's always full, has a great atmosphere and the freshest fish you could ask for.  We shared the crab claws which were just yum and he had the fillet steak for mains and I had the Dublin Bay prawns.   The Oar House is the first place I ever had prawns that weren't chewy - they melt in your mouth.  Just gorgeous.  If you are heading out to Howth for the day, pop into the Oar House for some tapas. You won't be disappointed...

What did you get up to for the weekend?  Have you gotten any bargains in the sales yet?

  1. I love that the outfit of the day was co starrif bailey ;) I hit the oasis sale and picked up some ballet flats - I love oasis ballet shoes but they are really expensive so I wait for the sales

  2. Oasis shoes are soooo pretty. A girl at the bus stop has oasis ballet pumps n I loooove them but unfortunately wonky feet means no flat shoes for me :(
