Yves Saint Laurent Summer 2012 Collection - Terre Saharienne Collector No 2 - Sunkissed

There's nothing that screams summer more to me than having bronzed cheeks.  That's if you don't count the blue sky, hot sun etc, but let's be honest, this is Ireland and if there's one thing I can count on every single summer, it's having bronzey cheeks!  As part of the Summer 2012 Swimming Pool collection, Yves Saint Laurent have brought out three shades of the Terre Saharienne Collector and what you're about to see is Shade 2 - Sunkissed.

When this arrived at Girlie Bits Towers, I gave a little squeak and an ooh and then polished the front of the compact on my cardigan as I had mauled it with my grubby little paws.  Described as a "satiny light, rosy apricot" shade, I knew Sunkissed and I would be a match made in cheeky heaven.  First up, look at the python print design that's pressed into the powder.  It almost seemed wrong to mess it up but after about 4 seconds of "Will I or won't I", I made this face and got powdering.

I like to use a duo fibre brush with Sunkissed as it gives a really even and flawless finish.  I use it on my cheeks, across the nose and bring it up to my temples and forehead, giving myself a sunkissed glow, did you see what I did there?  Oh ladies, this powder goes on like silk and gives my cheeks both colour and luminosity and feels like I've nothing on my face.  This makes me happy, especially when I'm feeling clammy in the heat.
It's a powder that I sometimes use all over my face to give the illusion of a bit of a tan, but the photos here shows how I usually apply it.  It contains an SPF 12 which is grand if you're putting it all over your face.  What I love most about the powder is that it's so finely milled and it blends into my skin, looking like my own actual skin!  Just nicer.  And more sunkissed.  And luminous.  You get the picture!

Now, the three Terre Saharienne Collector will set you back a spendy €55.  Is that a lot of money?  Yes.  Does it give me gorgeous looking skin?  Absolutely.  If I hadn't been sent this I would have bought it myself, hand on heart.  As soon as I saw the photos of the range, this stunner of a powder immediately stood out to me.  It's always nice to treat yourself isn't it ladies!
