So while flicking through a magazine recently, I came across this look from the Fendi Spring/Summer 2012 collection and was instantly intrigued and inspired. Golden Eye you say?

Mascara - YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Waterproof Mascara in Golden Sand (€31). This mascara is part of the YSL summer 2012 collection and is perfect for adding a little hit of gold to your lashes. I like to apply a coat of black mascara first and then add this to the tips.
Eyeshadow - Shimmery eyeshadows can give a really pretty metallic finish and I can bet if you looked in your stash, you'd find one. I had a root and came up with these four beauties.
Swatch wise from top to bottom we have:
1. Mac pigment in Museum Bronze (this is a mini pigment from a set I got ages ago, I think they're €24.50 full size).
2. Catrice Intensif'Eye Wet & Dry eyeshadow (€3.49).
3. Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Epatant (€28).
4. Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hr shadow in Eternal Gold (€6.15).
For those who have the Naked Palette there are a few gorgeous shades in there and yesterday I rocked Half Baked from my much loved but totally under used Naked palette. This gave me a really subtle wash of colour all over my lids and was office friendly. Look at me, going to work on trend and all!
Nail Polish - Earlier today I showed you the gorgeous Oil Slick from Ciate so if you're afraid of going all metallic on your eyes, you can totally get away with it on your nails. If you want to go a bit silver, try this one from Avon, Starry Sky (€8).
So see? We can do it! We can follow trends and still look like ourselves! Go on ye good things!
