L'Oreal Mythic Oil review

Ok, so we all know I'm a huge fan of oils for one's locks.  Love them.  I credit them with kind of getting away with not having my hair cut in well over a year.  They make my hair look gorgeous and I think I've found something special with the L'Oreal Mythic Oils ladies.  The original Mythic Oil launched back in 2011 and joining it is the Mythic Oil Milk and Mythic Oil Colour Glow Oil for colour treated hair.

Priced at €19 each, a bottle will last you ages because you need only the smallest amount.  My hair is way past shoulder length now and one to two pumps of the oil does me only grand.  For the milk there in the middle, I use the recommended 5-6 pumps.

I'll explain about the milk first shall I?  Containing Royal Jelly and the lightweight Passiflora Oil which nourishes the hair deeply, you can use it as a detangler, a conditioner or after blow drying your hair to smooth down split ends.  I use it right before blow drying and it feels like there's nothing in my hair, but gives me lovely soft locks.

The Mythic Oil Colour Glow Oil contains linseed oil which envelopes the hair fibre giving it added radiance and shine along with cranberry oil that nourishes and gives fabulous glossiness.  I haven't tried this oil yet but am carefully selecting a chum who has colour treated hair and will get her to review pour moi!

The absolute star of the show here ladies is the original Mythic Oil.  It's suitable for all hair types and has a blend of avocado and grape seed oils to nourish, protect and add shine.  It's lightly fragranced but that dissipates quickly after application.

Ok, so what does it do for my locks?  Oh ladies, great things... And I think this is The One That Has Knocked Orofluido Off The Top Of The List.... That's huge.  (That's what she said)  But seriously though, what I've been doing is washing my hair as normal, walk around doing my business with towel on head.  Get headache from towel being too tight.  Remove towel.  Look at state of wet hair.  Brush wet hair knowing I'm not supposed to brush it, just comb but I don't own a comb.  Make mental note to buy comb.  One to two pumps of the Mythic Oil goes onto hair.  Hair gets dried upside down and takes mere minutes.

When my hair is dry it is gorgeous.  Even if I do say so myself.  It's soft and silky, shiny and healthy looking.  I kid you not I feel like a bridie in a hair ad.  My roots have proper volume and the ends are defined and sleek.  It feels like I've nothing in my hair it's so lightweight and doesn't weigh it down.  This is marvellous stuff ladies and I urge you to go try it and if any of you meet me any time soon and I've gorgeous hair, it's because of this!

You can pick these products up from any L'Oreal Professionnel salons nationwide.  Call 01-6045935 for your nearest stockist or www.lorealprofessionnel.co.uk for a salon locator.  We got our Mythic Oil from Zeba when Joanne visited there last month so feel free to pick yours up there!

  3. L’Oreal Mythic Oil is my holy grail product! I use it almost every day especially when blowdrying my hair. I think Hairtrade is the cheapest place at the moment – here’s the link if anyone wants to have a look. I even use it on my I&K extensions too! x
