Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 cleanser, scrub and mask review

Move over Neutrogena 2 in 1 face wash and mask, there's a new multitasker in town and it has replaced you in my bathroom!  Say hi to the Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 cleanser!

The Normaderm 3 in 1 cleanser is a multifunctional product that comes in a dinky green and white tube, perfect for dispensing the required amount without having to get your paws dirty and stuck in the product.  It contains kaolin to help fight against imperfections, salicylic acid to help minimise pores and sooth the skin, and clay to stimulate blood circulation and helps draws impurities and excess oil from the skin.  It has a fresh scent that I can't quite put my finger on.  I'm hovering between green tea and apple and am sitting here with my eyes closed smelling it.  I love the fragrance and it's not overpowering at all.  If you're a Sensitive Sally (skin wise), then this will work for you and is paraben, soap and alcohol free.

Now, it being a 3 in 1 product obviously means it has three uses, the first of which is as a cleansing cream.  This reduces sebum production, removes impurities and I've been using it to remove my make up, but don't let it near my eyes.  As a proper test to see if it removes my make up properly, I apply it, working it into the skin, then rinse with warm water rather than removing it with my muslin cloth.  I then get my fluffiest white towel and dry my face and there's never a screed of make up left and I'm left with a fluffy white towel!

I love me some scrubs.  A little too much probably.  But I've cut down to exfoliating twice a week and have absolutely loved using this.  There are little tiny blue microbeads in the cream that scrub away dead skin cells and leave my skin super soft and radiant.  You can't ask any more than that!

Finally it can be used as a mask.  I layer it evenly over my whole face, leaving my eyes free again.  I leave it on for 5-10 minutes and rinse it off easily with water.  I like to use circular motions to rinse the mask off, taking advantage of the microbeads again and my skin is left feeling fresh and bright.  It has joined the ranks of one of my favourite masks and there are only two other ones in that category so that's saying something!

Vichy's Normaderm 3 in 1 cleanser is available from pharmacies now for €13.25*.  Well worth checking out ladies and it's the perfect opportunity to try a new product and also Ditch The Make Up Wipes.  I believe this shall be a strong contender for the 2012 edition of Lovely Girlie Favourite Bits of the year!

  1. Ohhh, I need to try this! Not too expensive either. I've never found a skincare product that actually minimised my pores, so I'm definitely trying this baby!

  3. Ooh, this sounds exactly what I'm looking for. Something that actually removes all make-up without leaving a big black mascara mark on the towel. Sounds brilliant!

    1. I wouldn't recommend using it on your eyes just with the microbeads, I'd be afraid they scratch your eyeballs
