Roger and Gallet Rose Imaginaire review

When is a rose not a rose?  When a scent that captures the soul of a rose doesn't contain any roses!

Roger & Gallet Rose Imaginaire

Roger & Gallet have taken ingredients from fruits, flowers and wood, combining them together to evoke the beauty and grace of a rose.  And it's a stunner of a frarance.  On first spritz, the fruity mandarin and wild strawberry wake me up with their zingy notes and it's only a matter of time before it dries down to my favourite part of the scent.  Jasmine and violet work together to release an almost creamy, velvet scent and when the sandalwood and patchouli take hold, it's a completely different scent to when it's first applied thanks to the wood and musk.

For some reason, it makes me think of those ads where someone is changing the sheets on their bed, window open wide (like you do) and as they lift the sheet up, it blows and ripples in the breeze before softly finding it's place on the bed.  There's something invigorating about the scent at first before it calms down and becomes almost comforting.  Weird, I know!

It has made a great impression with all the girls in the office which is always a good indication for me.  We're a different bunch when it comes to our scents and this one is a winner!

Roger & Gallet Rose Imaginaire will be in pharmacies nationwide from the end of September for €39.95.
