As a beauty blogger, I'm always talking about the new must have product of the moment and believe me, there are so many new fandangly things out there that I know I'll never run out of things to write about. However, let us have a little moment of silence for those products that don't get as much love as they should. The products that have been out for years and we use all the time, but get overlooked.
So today it's time to Give The Love To Forgotten Favourites. First up is one of my favourite foundations ever; Clinique Superbalanced. I feel sad that I'm calling it one of my favourites yet haven't featured it, but sure that's the point of this post.
Voila!
Superbalanced is "the great equaliser for combination skin. Provides moisture and absorbs oil as needed. Minimises the appearance of fine lines." When I first bought this last year, I didn't know any of this but liked how it felt on the back of my hand. There are those times where all you need is a dab or two on the back of your hand to know something is going to be good. This was one of those times.
It's one of those foundations that looks like my skin, only better. It gives enough coverage to cover most of my blemishes but still lets my skin show through. Ain't nobody likes the mask effect. On my face, it's true to it's description and stays matte on my oily t-zone for hours, giving my dry cheeks some radiance and moisture. I'd describe it as having medium coverage but is buildable and it lasts from 7am until about 2pm before I'd need to do any touching up. Of my make up that is. Dirty minds!

That's gorgeous on you, I've never used Clinique makeup before.
ReplyDeleteI was only thinking something similar about unsung product heroes last night when using my beloved Xen Tan Gradual Facial Tanner.
I've never posted about it but use it regularly and love it with the muchness, having rebought it a bajillion times. I can go weeks without using it but once I do again I always wonder why I stopped.
Oh deffo do a post on the Xen Tan tanner!
DeleteIt really gives a gorgeous finish on your skin, like the famous "your skin but better". Must try this one (well, when I'm finished with the ones I already have).
ReplyDeleteI'm the same, have a bunch of foundations I need to use up!
DeleteThat foundation looks amazing on you, must give it a go when I need a new foundation.
ReplyDeleteAs for unsung heros, my wide range of concealers from Urban Decay, Bourjois, Rimmel and Collection 2000 need a shoutout for managed to cover up the dark bags under my eyes.
I've decided to embrace my dark circles! No choice really, it's so annoying!
DeleteClinique make ups may be good products but I used their face cleaners and I don't recommend them. Too effective, my face has become very sensitive
ReplyDeleteIt's been about 8 years since I've used any of their skincare, must give it a go again.
DeleteWhat do you use to apply this with? (fingers, brush, sponge) I bought this the other day and have been using a stippling brush but im just not loving it but this looks lovely on your skin! x x
