Clinique Superbalanced Make up - Giving love to forgotten favourites

As a beauty blogger, I'm always talking about the new must have product of the moment and believe me, there are so many new fandangly things out there that I know I'll never run out of things to write about.  However, let us have a little moment of silence for those products that don't get as much love as they should.  The products that have been out for years and we use all the time, but get overlooked.

So today it's time to Give The Love To Forgotten Favourites.  First up is one of my favourite foundations ever; Clinique Superbalanced.  I feel sad that I'm calling it one of my favourites yet haven't featured it, but sure that's the point of this post.

Voila!

Superbalanced is "the great equaliser for combination skin.  Provides moisture and absorbs oil as needed.  Minimises the appearance of fine lines."  When I first bought this last year, I didn't know any of this but liked how it felt on the back of my hand.  There are those times where all you need is a dab or two on the back of your hand to know something is going to be good.  This was one of those times.

It's one of those foundations that looks like my skin, only better.  It gives enough coverage to cover most of my blemishes but still lets my skin show through.  Ain't nobody likes the mask effect.  On my face, it's true to it's description and stays matte on my oily t-zone for hours, giving my dry cheeks some radiance and moisture.  I'd describe it as having medium coverage but is buildable and it lasts from 7am until about 2pm before I'd need to do any touching up.  Of my make up that is.  Dirty minds!

Clinique Superbalanced Foundation

I use the shade Alabaster and it's a bang on match for my skin.  It feels light and comfortable on my face and doesn't have a scent.  The only thing I'd like is if it came with a pump as I almost always pour too much out on the back of my hand.

I'll definitely be buying this again when I use up the bottle.  It was €28 well spent and I'd most heartily recommend giving it a go next time you're at your local Clinique counter.  My heart broke a little bit when Clinique Stay True Make Up was discontinued but thankfully Superbalanced has completed moi again!

What products do you use day in, day out and forget to rave about?

  1. That's gorgeous on you, I've never used Clinique makeup before.

I was only thinking something similar about unsung product heroes last night when using my beloved Xen Tan Gradual Facial Tanner.

I've never posted about it but use it regularly and love it with the muchness, having rebought it a bajillion times. I can go weeks without using it but once I do again I always wonder why I stopped.

  2. It really gives a gorgeous finish on your skin, like the famous "your skin but better". Must try this one (well, when I'm finished with the ones I already have).

  4. Clinique make ups may be good products but I used their face cleaners and I don't recommend them. Too effective, my face has become very sensitive
