The pit of my week and the peak of my week!

I love Keeping up with the Kardashians, I do.  I don't care who knows it!  It's my guilty pleasure and there's nowt I like more than when there's a marathon of it on E!

In one episode, I can't remember which, the girls spoke about when they were younger, their dad would go around the table and ask everyone the pit of their day and the peak of their day, so worst bit and best bit.  I loved that idea and after having dinner with my buddies from the trip to La Roche Posay, I was inspired to try thinking of five good things that happened at the end of each day (thanks P-Dawg!).  Sometimes they're boring and sometimes they're great but I thought it might be a nice idea for everyone to share the pit and peak of their week!  (And it rhymes and you know I like a good rhyme)

So the pit of my week.  Usually when it comes to rubbish I see posted on Facebook and Twitter, I can roll my eyes and bite my tongue and ignore it but this week there were two separate things that annoyed me so much and I was even more annoyed at myself for taking the bait.  A quick clear up and my timelines are back to being happy places again.  People can say whatever they like and that's grand, I just don't have to read it.

The peak of my week was a brilliant piece of news I got on Friday that I've been waiting for months to hear back on.  I don't want to get in to it too much but a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and all going well, the final pieces should be sorted by the start of December.  So in celebration of said good  news, I had a celebratory Saturday!

I started off my getting my hair cut in Brown Sugar by Christian who is The Business.  I don't let anyone else cut my hair and the man is just brilliant, telling me no, we're not doing that, it'll make you look like an aul wan and always always always gives me the haircut I wanted!  I got a few inches off the end and lots of shape around the face and I am delighted and very swishy altogether.

After that, Joanne and I went to Loulerie on Chatham Street.  I wanted to pick up the necklace in the very last photo in my post here, but they didn't have it.  I'm on the hunt for something really simple, delicate and something I can wear every day.  I'll have to keep an eye out for something dinky.

We were starving at this point and after having a bit of a wander around the new Penneys on Mary Street (it's huuuuge), we went to Clodagh's Kitchen in Arnotts for what I can only describe as the nicest cottage pie ever in life.  A few veg and potatoes on the side and I was stuffed, happy and can safely say it was gorgeous and I'll be back very soon.  Delish!

Yum!
We needed to work some calories off, so we went downstairs to the Beauty Hall and I found myself at the Chanel counter.  I picked up one of the glossimers from the Holiday 2012 collection and I had a fiver on my Arnotts reward card, so a bargain if ever there was one!  I'll be showing it to you in more detail soon so stay tuned.  I also needed eyeshadow primer, badly.  So we legged it over to Debenhams and I picked up the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden.  It's a creamy primer that dries matte and I spent Sunday doing different make up looks with it and I love it!

We came home and I needed a rest after that all, so a quick read of the new Stellar magazine and a can of Diet Coke made for the perfect end to a fabulous Saturday!

So folks, what was the pit of your week and more importantly, what was the peak of your week?!  Share with the class in the comments!
