After falling in love with Epatant the year before last, Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Ebloui made a very welcome addition to my stash! Retailing at €28, this is going to last me aaaaaaages and is well worth investing in, especially if you have a very generous pal to buy it for you!
The Illusion D'Ombres have a bouncy gel texture that glide over the skin like a dream. It makes me happy to sit and just press down lightly on it just so I can feel how cushioned it is. If you buy one, I defy you not to do the same thing.
So Ebloui is a deep burgundy shade with pink and brown undertones and is full of fine glitter particles that just look shimmery in natural light but once a bit of sunlight or flash from a camera is involved, the sparkles come alive. I can see gold and green glitter which sounds weird but look at the swatches below and you'll see it looks less scary than it sounds!
We need to see what it looks like on the eyes though right? I use the brush that comes with it which is actually easy to use to create a precise line or pack the colour on all over the eyelid, depending on my mood. Usually I throw away brushes that comes with a product but this one is brilliant. Love it and have used my other one as a lip brush in the past.
You can see in the photo on the bottom right what it's like with a bit of flash photography. Just gorgeous. You can sheer the colour out with a fluffy brosh or pack it on for more drama. These shadows stay put for hours, a good 8 hours at that, before creasing starts to set in.
Thanks CherrySue for my fabulous present, I'm in The Love with it!
