Joanne's rose gold love affair - featuring Loulerie, Rebecca Minkoff and Henri Bendel

Joanne's back everyone!  After a long hiatus, she's here to talk to you about some new Lovely Girlie Bits that have found their way into her life.  She still can't post from her own account yet as she's crap at life, so I'm doing it for her as I'm the best big sister ever and she loves me so much and will buy me presents for doing this.  (Now, do you think she'll do it herself next time?!)

I would like to introduce the world to my new baby.  My fabulous new Rebecca Minkoff handbag!  I had seen this beauty just after Christmas and fell in love.  It was €570 and reduced to €225, but I talked myself out of it.  Then when I was in town recently with Karen, I showed her the bag which was now 70% off.  I needed it.  So when I received a voucher from the gals in work for my birthday, I ran up to Arnotts after work and bought the last one they had.  Totally a sign that I was meant to get it!  It's a shimmery goldy metallic handbag with rose gold studs and I love it.  It wasn't until I got this that I realised my last few purchases have all been rose gold!

While in New York in November, I picked up this stunning necklace from Henri Bendel on Fifth Avenue.  I'd never been there before and Karen and I were like magpies looking at all the shiny sparkley things until this bad boy caught my eye.

I loved how delicate it looked just hanging up and fell in love with the rose gold version.  It also came in silver and gold.  The price was $248, so I left it and thought about it for a few days.  On the last day in New York, I had enough cash left to treat myself and wouldn't you know it was 20% off when I got there!  Whoop!  I can't wait to wear this more and will be featuring it soon in an upcoming post.

Finally we have my new favourite bracelet.  I came downstairs on the morning of my brithday to see a Loulerie bag on the couch and I froze.  Loulerie is my favourite jewellery shop by far, so I couldn't wait to open the box!  I was delighted to see this bracelet sparkling up at me when I opened the box and I put it on right away.  The face and clasp is rose gold with tiny diamantes on the front and dusty pink leather straps.  Again, it's dainty and pretty, totally my style of jewellery and not too blingy so I can wear it every day.  Thanks Karen!

I'm loving rose gold as you can tell.  It's so pretty and feminine and much less harsh than regular gold on my skin tone.  Do you have anything rose gold that you love?

  3. Serious bargain on the bag, 70% off?! Wow!! It's fabulous. I also love the bracelet & necklace, I love simple pieces that go with everything, you'll have them years & years. Gorgeous. I'm a big gaudy costume jewellery person, I lose everything so I don't spend money on nice pieces - have one or two really good gold bits but that's about it!

    1. Thanks :) I'm the same as you, I have lots of cheap pieces of jewellery so I dont mind too much if I break something or if I lose it but the necklace I just adored! I seldom spend that much on a necklace but I guess it was my Christmas pressie to myself :)
