New! Origins Plantscription SPF Anti-aging oil-free cream review

I know most of you don't know me in The Real Life, but if you've read even a few posts from this here blog, you'll know that I love me some Origins.  My love affair has been going on since circa 2000, so it's safe to say we're in a long term relationship.

Back in December, I was given this pot of joy and have been testing it out since then.  The latest product in the Plantscription range is the Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-aging cream.

This new cream features Raspberry Plant Stem Cell Technology along with the old anti-aging favourite, Anogeissus.  Plant stem cells seem to be the buzz word in the beauty industry right now and they're equipped with regenerative properties that when combined with Anogeissus, makes a cream that will -
  • Reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
  • Lift and smooth the look of the skin's texture.
  • Enhance skin's radiance.
  • Restore bounce to the skin.
  • Help reduce the appearance of the signs of aging with SPF 25.

I've been testing out the oil-free version of the cream for oily/combination skin but there's another version that's suitable for all skin types.  Despite being oil free, it feels thick and luxurious and texture wise, it reminds me of clay face masks.  However, fear not, this doesn't sit on your skin like a mask!  It absorbs effortlessly into my skin and within five minutes, I'm ready to put my foundation on.  There's not a hint of residue and I'm felt with smooth, nourished, firm skin.  I've absolutely loved using this with my Plantscription Anti-aging foundation and I'm telling you, if I keep up with this, I'll look like I'm 21 again!

I've loved using this cream so much and will happily work my way through the pot and will purchase this myself.  I've a feeling it's going to be sooner rather than later as I've been telling my mam all about it and she wants in on the action, so I might have to divvy up this pot!

Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-aging oil-free cream is available exclusively from Arnotts at the moment but wil roll out to the rest of the counters in a couple of months.  It will set you back €62 which sounds spendy but you get what you pay for when it comes to skincare and Origins have never let me down yet.  It's money well spent in my opinion and if you're on the hunt for an anti-aging cream, I totally give this the Lovely Girlie Bits Seal of Approval (TM)!

  9. It's good that the cream can be absorbed so quickly. It is not the best thing when you apply a cream and have to wait for along time before you can do anything else with your skin because it's so heavy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this beauty treatment.
