Products for my hands from Sally Hansen, Roger and Gallet, Caudalie

There's one part of me that gets neglected first and it's my little hands.  Right now they're covered in paper cuts and I'm having no sympathy from the nurses at work.  Don't they know how sore they are?!  My nails are in bits and I haven't painted them since before Christmas.... I know... And I know things are bad when my non beauty loving chums at work even comment that it's odd I'm not wearing nail polish.  Three girls have expressed their worry at moi this week so far.

I'm not putting anything on my nails just yet as I want to give them a proper break but as I'm going out on Saturday, I'll be painting them but not before lashing on a coat of my OPI Nail Envy.  Anyway, I thought I'd show you some of the products I'm using to help get my hands back in tip top shape.  I'll let you know how I get on with them at the end of the month.  This is more of a show and tell post rather than reviews.

Yes, I'm going to talk about hand wash.  Or perfumed liquid soap if you're feeling all posh.  Now, remember back to before Christmas where I bought the fragrant water, body wash and body lotion from the Roger & Gallet Gingembre?  Well, I've repurchased the shower gel already and when I was in the new Marks and Spencer beauty hall in their Mary Street shop just before Christmas and saw this bottle of golden goo, I ignored the €17.50 price tag as I knew I was going to love it and it's all about love these days isn't it?

To say I'm even more obsessed with the scent would be an understatement and yes, I do make Joanne smell my hands every time I wash them.  This hand wash doesn't dry out my paws and do you know what?  Even if it did, I'd still be using it for the scent alone.  Love it.  And yes, that was a big old paragraph on a hand wash but just smell it and you'll see why I love it so much.

The next thing I'm using is something I kind of bought for mam over in Sephora but somehow it ended up in my bag... Hmm... No idea how that happened... I don't feel too bad because she's the biggest fan of Clarins' Hand and Nail Cream and is happy using that.  The Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream is a nourishing anti-aging treatment for hands and nails and contains antioxidant grape seed polyphenols, shea butter and grape oil.

This hand cream smells gorgeous.  It's light and citrussy and isn't greasy at all, so very much work friendly.  Except I'm not bringing it to work because I work with a load of bridies who would lash their way through this in a week!  And I need to test this out properly, eh?  As far as I know, Space NK In Dundrum sells Caudalie and I'll check and update the post when I know for sure.  Until then, you can buy the set of hand cream and body butter on petals.ie or buy the cream on it's own for £12 on lookfantastic.com.

My cuticles are shot to bits right now and this little pot couldn't have arrived at Girlie Towers at a better time.  The Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Cuticle Eraser & Balm promises to give me smooth cuticles and will condition my nails.  I've used it a few times already and so far it feels lovely and light but not greasy.  It contains white tea and cucumber which removes rough cuticles along with soothing any dry bits of skin.  This is €9.95 and is available in chemists, department stores and grocery stores nationwide.

So that's my trio of products I'm using right now.  I'll let you know how I get on with them in a few weeks and hopefully by then I'll be back to painting my nails with a vengence because I'll have beautiful hands and nails!  And just so you know, I've been singing "When hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with mild green Fairy Liquid" the whole time when writing this post.

What are you using on your hands right now?
