February Favourites

Where did February go?  Seriously.  January felt like it was never going to end and this month has flown by in the blink of an eye!  It was a great month for me in finding some great products I love and I've probably covered most of them on the blog already, but I love reading monthly favourites posts.

Mane n' Tail and Aussie Miracle Shine

I loved both Mane 'n Tail and Aussie Miracle Shine shampoos so much this month and am now alternating between them but I've some new ones to try now and I'm fully expecting my bathroom to be a mess of half empty bottles!  I've reviewed them very recently so won't go into them in detail again, but click here to read the Mane 'n Tail review and here to read the Aussie Miracle Shine review.  I'll be purchasing both of these myself again no doubt about it.

Korres Lip Butter Pomegranate

I'm a huge fan of Korres lip butters and decided recently that I wanted to try one of the tinted ones.  So when in Harvey Nichols recently, I picked up Pomegranate and it's fast become one of my favourite lip balms.  It gives a nice wash of colour on the lips and is really moisturising and nourishing and I'll purchase them over and over.  They're a bit spendy at €8.50 but they're totally worth it for me as they do what they say on the tin.

Inspirational words

Last week when I brought Bailey to get his hair did, I had an hour to kill and spent the whole hour in Homebase like a proper bridie.  They'd lots of really nice bits and bobs for the hours but I saw this little placard and had to buy it to help keep me inspired.  Joanne is moving out at the end of March and I want to do lots to the house, money permitting of course.  I really want to turn the box room into my beauty room and thought this would make a nice little wall decoration and for just under a tenner, I snapped it up and look at it from time to time to give a bit of motivation!

Sunrises

With the arrival of spring, the days are getting longer and everyone seems that little bit happier that it's bright when we going to work and coming home.  The favourite part of my day by far is driving along by Sandymount at about 7.45, just as the sun's coming up.  I can't help being in awe of the stunning sunrises I've seen over the past month and have snapped a few and made it a wee Twitter tradition to make it my first tweet of the day.  Well, when it's sunny that is!  These were only taken with my little iPhone but if I can get myself organised next week, I might try to bring my Canon some day and get better shots.

Bourjois eyeliner

This is one of the prettiest eyeliners I've seen in ages and I'm buying a back up of it this weekend I love it that much.  It's purple with blue shimmer in it, what's not to love?  See it in action here if you dare.

Tangle Teezer

Why I'm so late to the Tangle Teezer bandwagon is beyond me and I don't know what I did before it came into my life.  I'm someone who loves getting their hair brushed and could easily fall asleep getting it done.  The little plastic bristles on the TT gives my scalp a grand massage and feels fantastic.  I've been using it when drying my hair and it leaves me with lovely smooth locks.  Oh and it gets rid of tangles easily.

Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder

I've been using this ever since getting it in a goodie bag before Christmas and I love it so much.  I'll be showing it to you in action next week but basically it's a mineral powder that mattifies but also gives a luminosity to the skin like no other powder I've tried.  Usually with powders that promise to give light and luminosity to the skin, they have shimmer in them but this doesn't.  Wait until I show you next week and you'll see what I mean.

Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream

Over the past few weeks I've found myself using this Smoothing and Illuminating cream from Vichy in the mornings and love how it evens out the texture of my skin and makes my foundation go on easily.  It smells lovely and sinks into my skin beautifully.  Read more about it here if you should be so inclined!

What have you been loving this month?

  3. I still haven't tried a tangle teezer, I'm paranoid it'll get stuck in my mop! That liner looks gorge, & there's no better way to start the day than with a bitta sun.
