New in Arnotts - the Smashbox photo booth!

Last week I visited the brand spanking new Smashbox counter in Arnotts.  New counters make me happy because everything is clean, tidy, organised and my heart is bursting at the seams as I stand there wide eyed, wanting to touch all the things.  The Smashbox team were over to unveil the world's first photo booth and of course I had to get in on the action!

But not before getting my make up done by Christine, make up artist extraordinaire who had me completely relaxed and drowsy with her light touch.  She offered to do a red lip on me and I looked at her in panic and telepathically asked her to do a dark eye instead.  I'm scared of red lips and so I suggested using the Entice Me palette from the Love Me collection so that she should show me how to do a make up look and then see if I could recreate it at home.

The photo booth was great craic and I was absolutele scarlet charlotte but when you're photographically nervous like me, what better time to tweet the photo directly from the booth to your Twitter account, send it to your Facebook page, your email account and if you want a physical photo, you can print them out!

I really do feel like Chandler Bing when I'm getting my photo taken like this.  At home, I take eleventy million photos from all different angles and can crop the crap out of them all, but sure when in Rome, or Arnotts in this case, you embrace it and hope you're smizing.  A quick note is that I love the lighting in the booth and am going to bring my own plain white regulation cardboard so I can take my passport photos in it.  (I wish... Could you imagine?  Getting your make up done and actually looking nice in a passport photo!)

I absolutely loved what Christine did on my eyes and I think/hope it's something I could recreate myself, so stay tuned for a tutorial that may or may not end up looking like the look below.  She elongated my eyes using the midnight blue shadow from the Entice Me palette and applied some eyeliner on the top lid to intensify the look.  A natural lip and contoured visage completed the look

A leedle bit closer you say?  It killed me on the inside to take this make up off which is the norm when getting my visage done by the Smashbox team.  145 photos later and with a heavy heart, I removed it, trying hard to remember every step Christine did.

These are my favourite shots below as you can see that midnight blue shade in all it's glory along with some killer blending work.

I really need a night out to wear this look, any takers?!

Get yourself into Arnotts and check out the new fandangly Smashbox counter, swatch the products, play with the colours and get your photo taken!
