Philosophy Keep The Peace Super Soothing Instant Relief Mask review

I'm not a great person when it comes to treating my skin to face masks.  To be honest I had never used one before until recently.  My excuse was that my skin is too sensitive and I was sure I would have a bad reaction with whatever the product was.  When Philosophy's Super Soothing Instant Relief Mask for Redness and Sensitivity came along to Lovely Girlie Bits tower I thought it would be perfect for the type of skin I have so fingers crossed that it does what it says on the tin!

Philosophy Keep The Peace Super Soothing Instant Relief Mask (€38) contains montmorillonite clay to reduce redness, aloe to cool and soothe the skin together with glycerin for hydration.

The mask is an off white /grey in colour and has a thick consistency but I was surprised at how little I needed to use on my face. Plus it has a very faint scent, which I learned from Karen is good as perfumed creams can irritate sensitive skin.  (See Karen, I listen!)  The instructions say to apply to a clean, dry face, avoiding eyes and to rinse off after 3-5 minutes.  Shortly after applying the mask, it dries up, feeling tight on the skin and after about 5 minutes I rinse it off to have lovely smooth, soothed and refreshed looking skin.

I am so happy to have this mask in my life.  I love it!  And with 120 mls to go through, it will last for ages!

What's your favourite face masks that you can't life without?

  1. I might have to go try this out - I had a Lush mask for sensitive skin but the last time I used it, my face felt like it was on fire!
