I'm back with more Apocalips from Rimmel today! These lip lacquers have really set the beauty blogosphere alight and for good reason. Lipstick with a lacquer like shine? Don't mind if I do. And I love the word lacquer. It makes me think of the fifties and and all of the glamourous ladies back then. I've been consistently wearing the dusty pink shade, Celestial all last week as it's the most office friendly and totally in my comfort zone. They all feel light and moisturising on the lips and last a good two to three hours if you're not eating or drinking. Click here to see the three other shades I bought last week.
I'd wanted to pick up the nude shade when I bought the first three, so when it town over the weekend, I bought it alongside the darker shade, Galaxy.
Nude lips aren't for everyone but I'll always have a place in my heart for them despite trying to be braver in terms of lip colour. Nude Eclipse is really pigmented and you only need the barest amount to give a natural nude lip. Any more and you'll run the risk of the concealer lips catastrophy. I like to apply a thin layer and then pat my finger over the top, leaving me with a light natural nudey lip that will compliment a smokey eye no bother.
Galaxy is a beautiful plum shade that adds some drama to the lips without being too dark and over the top. It's one of the more grown up and sophisticated of the eight shades and I feel totally profesh wearing it! I can't explain how creamy these apply on the lips and they're really a joy to use.
Have you tried any of the Rimmel Apocalips yet? Which one is your favourite?
