Last week I showed you the Scandal Eyes liners in Nude and Taupe after falling in love with them. So on Saturday I found myself in town and in Boots and wanted to see what other shades they had. I caught sight of these babies and without even swatching them, decided that I needed them. In fairness, there were none open and I didn't want to get busted trying to break in to the packaging.
I chose the shades Bright Blue and Purple, as I'm trying to stay away from black and figured purple is always handy to have as I've greenish eyes. I was secretly hoping that Bright Blue would be a dupe for my beloved YSL Azure Blue you can see in the header at the top of the blog.
First up, Bright Blue isn't a dupe so I'm sad about that. Secondly, both of them had a dry texture as opposed to the creaminess of Nude and Taupe. They didn't show up on my waterline very well at all and were grand for lining along the top eyelid, but all in all I was very whelmed with these two shades. A bit meh if you will.
Now I stand firm with my love of the Nude and Taupe shades but these two shades just don't compare to them. I'd say save your money and invest in the YSL one or even the Urban Decay liners if you're looking for great quality coloured liners. Or if you want the best gel eyeliner in pencil form, then Avon SuperShock is your only man. If only they'd bring them out in more shades!
