The pit of my week and the peak of my week - week 6

How is the weekend nearly over already?!  I got lots done but really could have done with another day to be honest, so roll on the next bank holiday weekend.

The pit of my week was the fact that I was feeling exhausted, sick, weary and fed up all week.  I felt that I was getting a cold/flu and was so achy that I just focused on getting through each day, one day at a time and all that!  I'm feeling much better now thankfully but shall be hitting the sack early this week again.

The peak of my week was going to some brilliant events.  I went to see what A Wear has in store for us this spring season and my mission this year is to be more confident at fashion things.  I always feel so awkward and out of place and totally out of my comfort zone but I'm going to persevere and keep at it!  I don't mind going to things on my own and went to two things on my tobler this week so I know it's not that.  I think it's mostly because I'm a larger lady and am scared about being judged by the fashionistas and I know that's for me to sort out in my noggin because everyone I meet at events are always lovely!

I got to be a scientist at a launch for a new cream from La Roche Posay that I'll be telling you all about soon.  There's not every day you plop an egg into a glass of vinegar in the name of skincare but I had a great time!  Professor Bailey decided he wanted in on the experiments too.

I had my make up done at the newly vamped up Smashbox counter in Arnotts and I'll be telling you more about that this week.  As I mentioned, I wasn't well all week but sitting and having a makeover was just fabulous and I was so relaxed that I started to get drowsy as my make up artist dusted my whole face with powder!  Here's my made up mush in the brand new Smashbox photo booth.  Stay tuned for more on that!

How was your week?  What was the pit and the peak of your week?

  1. D'awww, Karen! Gutted to hear you weren't feeling very well this week! To be fair, the weather was RUBBISH too, the wind was seriously jacking me off!

But yes, definitely get lots of rest and early nights, that's an order! ;)

Looking forward to hearing about the La Roche Posay launch! xo

  2. Aww sorry to hear you weren't well Karen. I came down with the dreaded flu last week too, not fun. Got into the bath to try warm myself up, my little LRP ducky told me the water was 40 degrees and I was still shivering! Here's hoping you've shaken it and you'll be feeling much better this week.

I was raging that I couldn't make it to LRP, Butter London or Smashbox, so I'll have to live vicariously through your reports! The photobooth looks awesome!

Also, d'aww Bailey, the cutest scientist around <3

  3. Hope you do feel better! Must take it's toll being Superwoman! X

  4. I hope your feeling better - it's tougher to buy nice things as a larger lady but we can still do it as long as we don't give up and wear mu mu like homer ;)

  5. I hope you are feeling better! sounds like the events were awesome. Plus how cute is Bailey :)
