40 shades of green. Literally. Fashion, accessories and beauty for St Patrick's Day!

As you know, St Patrick's Day is this coming Sunday, March the 17th and it's a day where everyone can pretend to be Irish!  It's our first bank holiday of the year (this is very important to us) and we let our hair down and celebrate our culture and forget for those 24 hours how messed up the country is in terms of finances!  If you've something green in your wardrobe, wear it with pride and tell people your great great great grandmother was Irish and we'll welcome you with open arms!

Now, when I started researching this blog post, I didn't think there would be so many green things, fashion and beauty product-wise, so I've broken it down into three sections.  So basically you can wear all the green things and put all the green things on your face.  And the thing is, because emerald is Pantone's colour of the year this year, you can be safe in the knowledge that everyone will look like they're celebrating St Patrick's Day for the rest of the year.

If you're heading out to a parade, then chances are it's going to be cold, windy and rainy, so you're probably going to want to keep it casual.  You'll be standing for ages trying to get a glimpse of the marching bands and baton twirlers, so with the exception of the wedges, we're talking comfort.  Actually, now that I think of it, wedges might be a good thing if you're short and need to see over the head of the tall person that will inevitably be standing right in front of you.

If you're more of a lady or heading out for drinky poos on St Patrick's Day (join the rest of the country), then I've a few posher pieces to show you.  Granted, you mightn't be wearing that long dress to the pub, but if you're going somewhere very swish, it might do the job!
