Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream review, before and after photos

I loved Clarins' press release that came with this product last week.  "Another BB cream?" they said and I'm pretty sure they know that that's everyone's reaction now when we see another BB cream launching.  And yet I couldn't wait for this one...

BB creams are a busy woman's dream in that they are our make up and skin care in one.  We know we should be putting on SPF every day and we don't always remember to.  The BB Skin Perfecting Cream has SPF 25 along with UVA protection which helps protect our skin from loss of firmness.

It also promises to revive a dull complexion and ladies, my skin needs all the help it can in that department!  I don't know what it is, whether it's the heating on all the time, the cold weather or what, but my skin is a bit blah at the moment.  So I'm hoping this BB cream will help me look radiant thanks to the kiwi extract and hydrated thanks to katafray extract.

Finally, in terms of make up, it promises to even out skin tone and revitalise the complexion.  It comes in three shades, Light, Medium and Dark.  I got the shade Medium to try which is slightly too dark for me, but thanks to the colour blending technology, I'm still able to use it once I blend it down my neck a bit.  You can see in the photos below that it really does even out my skin tone beautifully and tones down redness.  It looks like it's my skin only better!  Oh and I fixed my eyebrows in the after photos.  I just looked worried with my little baldy brows on the left!

Texture wise, the BB Skin Perfecting Cream is lovely and light when blended itno the skin, but looks really thick and rich when you first put a blob onto the back of your hand.  I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to work it into the skin, but you can just as easily use your hands. It leaves a lovely satin finish on the skin which looks like your skin has a natural glow but isn't greasy.  In terms of coverage, we're talking light to medium and if you're looking for full coverage, then BB creams aren't for you!

This is on counters in April and will be €33.50.  If Clarins didn't send it to me, I would have bought it myself and I still might pick it up in Light when it's released.  It's an absolutely gorgeous product and it's already been earmarked by mam for a wedding she has coming up!
