Guest post from All Made Up 21's Laura! Her favourite products!

I'm a big fan of Laura from All Made Up 21 and over the past year, she's been blogging away like nobody's business and you can read her beauty ramblings here!  She's been a huge inspiration in terms of her weight loss journey with Slimming World and you need to read about it to believe it, so go follow her blog now!

She's taking over the blog today to talk about three of her favourite products and after reading the post, I now want all of them.... I mean look at them!

When Karen contacted me to do a guest post on her blog, Lovely Girlie Bits I couldn't possibly say no. Her blog (which you're seeing this post on right now) is one of my favourites. I've been lucky enough to meet Karen at events in the past and she's been nothing but super nice to me every time I've ran into her. There's many a product that I've bought after reading her fab reviews. Karen I blame my lack of funds on you! Now onto my current faves, all these products are new to me; I've only started using them in the past month. With saving like a mad woman for London and New York, the great thing about these three products is the fact that they're super affordable; one is even a magazine freebie. Enough chit chat from me I'll get cracking with my favourite.

I got this little gem free alongside this month's issue of Marie Claire magazine. I always carry a hand cream in my bag at all times. My hands have been ridiculously dry lately, I blame the weather. Neal's Yard Bee Lovely hand cream is my new favourite; it leaves my hands feeling lovely and soft. It does leave a balmy residue at first on my skin but it sinks in super quickly. This product also smells amazing. It contains a blend of organic honey and orange oil, the latter being the scent that shines through. I don't particularly like the smell of honey; I'm ultra-fussy when it comes to scents. This hand cream literally smells of oranges, a scent that isn't offensive in the slightest and I feel a lot of people will like it. The packaging is gorgeous too, a yellow honeycomb coloured tube with bumble bees imprinted on it. This hand cream is available on the Neal's Yard website and costs £10. I'll definitely be repurchasing mine when it runs out; I'll probably make a sneaky purchase of some other products from the Bee Lovely range too. If you can still get your hands on this month's Marie Claire magazine I'd recommend picking it up for this hand cream alone.

Catrice is a brand that I'm quite fond of; they always bring out lovely products and limited edition collections that are complete bargains in my opinion. On months that I'm living for payday to roll around, I know their products won't break the bank. I can basically pick up a couple of products for less to nothing. Everything I've tried from the brand so far has struck a high note with me. When I was out shopping with my friend Aisling, I picked up their Absolute Nude palette. This is one of their new releases and at €5.49 you can't go wrong. In this palette there's six wearable shades that would take you straight from day to night. All the shadows are shimmers and well pigmented. One thing to take note of when you're buying the palette is that there are no matte shades. Kinda funny considering it says on the packaging that it does. The pros definitely outweigh the cons with this palette; I've been using it so much since I bought it. It's such a handy size for my makeup bag and I wouldn't be too worried about mislaying it as it would be easy to replace. The packaging isn't too much to look at but for the price and quality of the palette you won't hear me complaining and I can see It being really popular. If you tend to rock a neutral eye look like me definitely check this out.

Last but certainly not least; it wouldn't be a favourite post without a lip product. Nivea's Vanilla & Macadamia Lip Butter has earned a permanent place in my makeup bag over the past few weeks. The weather in Ireland lately has been so changeable. In the past week alone, we've had rain, snow and the odd ray of sunshine peeping through the clouds. Crazy I know! I do blame the weather again for my lips being so dry and this product has been a life saver. Not only is this lip butter moisturising, it also smells amazing. For €2.95, you can't really turn your nose up at this one. If Vanilla & Macadamia doesn't sound like your thing, Nivea Lip Butters also come in two other flavours (Caramel Cream & Raspberry Kiss) plus an unscented version. I know I'll be repurchasing this product when I run out. I've already tried the other scents and Vanilla & Macadamia is my firm favourite out of the bunch.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my current favourites. I just want to thank Karen gain for letting me do a guest post on her lovely blog. I also hope all your readers on Lovely Girlie Bits have a super St Patrick's Day weekend.

  5. I seriously need to make more of an effort to get to a Catrice counter! There's no very convenient one near me, but I need so so much from that brand! :)
