New from Avon! SuperShock Gel Liners - Flash, Steel, Aqua Pop, Khaki Shimmer, photos, swatches, review

Oh Avon, you heard my call!  After the release of the Blackberry SuperShock liner last year, I've waited (im)patiently for more colours to be released and they're here!  I can relax now and breathe.

Four new limited edition shades are here to make me happy.  The fact that the colours are displayed on the end of the pencil fills my heart with joy.  It's the little things like that that a true beauty junkie appreciates!

Texture wise, they're as smooth and creamy as ever and really easy to work with.  You don't need to use much pressure at all and they don't tug or pull the skin on your eyelid.  With that creaminess means that you need to sharpen them quite often, but that's ok, they're worth it.

Clockwise from top left: Flash, Steel, Aqua Pop, Khaki Shimmer

First up is Flash.  This works as an eye brightening shade that can be used in the inner corner or on the waterline.  It's a pink champagne colour that reflects light beautifully and try as I might, I couldn't get a decent picture of it on the waterline.  But trust me, it's oh so purty.

Steel is a gunmetal grey liner that would make a great base for a smokey eye.  I've seen this in the Avon catalogues before, so I'm not sure why it's being called limited edition.  This shade is very Kim Kardashian-esque don't you think?

Aqua Pop, where do I start?  Oh this shade is something else... It's a hard one to describe but I'll try.  So it's got a metallic finish and is a blue-y teal-y shade that has to be seen in the flesh.  You can see how pigmented it is on the waterline and really gives the most intense shot of colour.  I think this is my favourite out of the four shades, followed closely by the last shade.

Khaki Shimmer is a wonderful green shade that has golden olive-y green undertones.  Joanne loves these kinds of shades in clothes and I bet this will look good on her green eyes.  On my blue green eyes, it's gorgeous.  There's an almost antique look about the shade and it's one of those colours you can wear every day.

Oh ladies you need to check these out in person and you'll see how amazing they are.  You can use them in a variety of ways and although I've shown them here on the waterline and upper lash line, you can apply them all over the eyelid and blend them out to create a base for your eyeshadow to stick to.  You need to work fast with these guys because they set and do not budge, but come off easily with eye make up remover.

These are €8 and €8 well spent folks.  You can buy them on the online Avon shop or find your local representative here.
