The pit of my week and the peak of my week - week 10

I didn't do the pit and peak of my week last weekend but I'm back this weekend with a bang after a really busy seven days!

I can't pick just one peak of the week, so I've chosen three highlights that stood out in my mind as I sat and thought about the week.

1. I met up with Karim Sattar, make up artist for Dr Hauschka on Wednesday and I love him!  He was in Dublin to talk to us about some new products that are being launched by the brand and tell us about his travels over the past few months.  He was, as always, witty, charming and lovely and I can't wait to share some of his tips and tricks with you soon.  I've a few tricks up my own sleeve for that so stay tuned!

2. On Thursday evening, I found myself in Arnotts to watch Clodagh McKenna teach us how to cook a meal, followed by eating said meal whilst watching Bobbi Brown make up artist Nikki Taylor give a masterclass.  Food and make up, the perfect night!

3. On Friday at lunch time in work, I saw I'd a missed call from my sister Joanne.  A quick call later and she told me that her friend had texted her to tell her to tell me congrats on my piece in U magazine.  Joanne said "Wha?" and rang moi where I said "Wha?"  I'd forgotten I sent in that piece a few weeks ago, so the lunch was left while I ran to the shop to get the magazine!  I love everything about the piece and I'm especially proud of the photos.  I knew that new camera would be an investment!  Go get the magazine if you want to read the piece and after reading it myself, I want to go back to New York!

The pit of my week is something small but happens every time something good happens to me like the magazine piece.  I always miss my dad something fierce and wish he was here to see these nice things and little successes.

Anyway, enough of the sad times!  How was your week?
