Monochrome magic

Of all the trends that are out in shops at the moment, the monochrome one speaks to me the loudest.  No idea why.  Maybe it's the simplicity of it, or maybe wearing black and white will make me feel like I'm in an old movie.  Either way, I've found myself browsing my favourite online shops and stopping on gems like these, so I thought I'd put together a few of my favourite pieces in a couple of collages that took ages to make look pretty, but I'm obsessed with making them and like to pretend I've my own magazine.  Humour me.  Could you imagine Lovely Girlie Bits - the magazine?  I wonder would it be on the top shelves....

First up is clothes.  I tried to mix it up a bit and not use everything that had stripes.  Nobody wants to look like a convict.  And of course, feel free to add a pop of neon colour in the form of a necklace or bag if you feel the black and white is a bit flat.

Monochrome magic

1. A|Wear Black Panel Front Dress - €58 || 2. Zara Printed Palazzo Pants - €46 || 3. Dorothy Perkins Gem Neck Ponte Dress - €53 || 4. Zara Combined Coat - €76 || 5. Dorothy Perkins Ink and Black Prom Dress - €53 || 6. Oasis Deco Ball Shift Dress - €56 || 7. Zara Striped Skirt - €46 || 8. Oasis Spot Boxy Top - €41 || 9. Oasis Stripe Wrap Shirt - €47 || 10. Oasis Double Layer Stripe T-Shirt - €19 || 11. A|Wear Stripe Blazer - €53

Now if monochrome clothing scares you a bit, then you can dip your toe into the trend with an accessory or two!  I love all of these accessories like little children and need to make one or two of them come home to momma.

Monochrome madness

1. Zara Striped Shopper - €69 || 2. Oasis Box Clutch Bag - €35 || 3. Zara Suede Combination Bag - €69 || 4. Oasis Bow Elastic Belt - €5.85 || 5. Zara Fabric Wedge Shoe - €61 || 6. Zara Two-Tone Beaded and Embroidered Wallet - €38 || 7. Zara Striped Sneakers - €38

I know this collage was Zara heavy, but they just have the most gorgeous bits.  I mean, that shopper, the wedges and the sneakers are calling to me.

Will you be rocking the monochrome trend this season?
