No7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream Normal/Dry review, before and after photos

I know the market is saturated with BB creams at the moment, but they're the number one product that people search for when landing on the blog, so there's still lots of interest in them out there!  I was sent this one a couple of months ago and have finally gotten around to playing with it over the last couple of weeks.

No 7's Beautiful Skin BB Cream (€16.95) promises to even and enhance skin tone, disguise imperfections and banish blemishes.  It has SPF 15 and 5* UVA technology to help the skin stay youthful and while this one is for Normal/Dry skin, there's also one for Normal/Oily skin and Dry/Very Dry, so something for everyone in the audience.  But what is it like on the skin I hear you say?

Well, texture-wise, it's one of the thicker BB creams I've tried so far when squeezed on to the back of my hand.  But once applied all over, it feels light as a feather and feels like I've nowt on my face.  It has a faint chemical scent that disappears when applied onto the skin.

It gives a light coverage and despite being as thick as it is, gives the lightest coverage of all of the BB creams I've tried to date.  I've got the Fair shade on me in these here photos which is a perfect match for my skin and there's a medium shade too for darker ladies.  It gives a dewy, radiant finish that's dry to the touch and oily skinned ladies will know what I mean.  We want to have radiant skin without being a sticky mess.  Is that too much to ask?!  It evens out my skin tone but doesn't quite cover up redness altogether.

I think this is one of those BB creams that work better if your skin is already pretty good, but for me, I need a little something more in terms of coverage.  If you've any blemishes then you're going to need a concealer or powder on top.

For me, this is a middle of the road BB cream and if you're wondering what to spend your Boots vouchers on, then give it a shot if you're looking for something that's lightweight, gives a light coverage and evens out skin tone.

Have you tried this BB cream?

  3. Nice review! I haven't tried any BBs yet. I wanted to get the LRP but it has no SPF, this one seems to have a very nice finish but it would be even nicer if it had a higher UV protection given Summer (supposedly) will be here soon. :)
