Nivea In Shower body Moisturiser review

With the exception of cleaning my make up brushes, one of my most loathed beauty chores is applying moisturiser all over after my shower.  I just don't have the patience for it and waiting for it to sink in before I can get dressed is a pain in the hoop.  If I'm having a shower in the morning, I give myself minimal time to clean my bits, make my lunch, put the slap on and run out the door.  Doing a full body moisturisation is the last thing on my mind.

Enter Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser.

Full disclosure, the first time I used it, I didn't read the press release properly, or the back of the bottle for that matter, so got into the shower and proceeded to try to wash myself with it.  Wondering why it wasn't lathering at all at all, I decided it might be an idea to read the bottle and it was finally then that I realised this wasn't a shower/moisturising product as I'd previously thought, but even more interestingly, an in shower moisturiser.

Yes, a moisturiser you apply whilst in the shower!  The idea is you wash yourself with your usual product, then apply this while your skin is still wet.  The formula is activated by water and is absorbed into the skin instantly.  I like to apply it before rinsing out my conditioner, giving it a couple of minutes to work it's magic.

After rinsing it off and drying myself, my skin feels nourished, hydrated with no greasy residue and no waiting around.  This is perfect for my issues with time management in the morning.  There are two formulas, one for normal skin which contains sea minerals and the dry skin version is enriched with almond oil.  I was sent the one for normal skin and it's perfect for the summer.  I think if it was winter, I'd need to opt for the dry skin version to make sure my elbows and dry patches were fully moisturised, but for the summer, this is brilliant!

This will set you back a mere €3.99 and worth a look if you're allergic to moisturising your body, or just lazy like moi.

  1. I'm keeping my fingers crossed about that one. It's not yet available in Canada. :(

  2. Wow this sounds like just what I need, I am terrible at moisturising after the shower so this is something that seems right up my alley:) Plus great price!!

  3. Sounds nice, but i have what might seem as a silly question.... Does this not take up as much time as a normal moisture?

    1. No silly questions here! The difference is you don't have to wait for it to be absorbed. You can put it on, rinse it off, dry yourself and you're good to go

    2. I get ya now... I think you've sold it to me......

  4. Am I the only weirdo that loves to moisturize? I use a serum and cream for the old thighs/bum + another lotion for the rest of the body in the mornings (not to mention body brushing!), but in the evenings I like to use an oil! I bought this in the dry skin version for my husband and he loves it, and I've been sneakingly using it too!! Not a very glam smell, but boy, it works!!

  7. I particularly like the fact that it does not turn your skin that weird orange color when it is wearing off.

    Skin Mist

  8. For some reason, this stuff just doesn't work for me at all! I am jealous of all the people giving rave reviews
