Sneak peek at Bourjois Summer 2013!

Last week I met up with the Bourjois team when they were visiting us for the day.  Oh lads, there's a reason why they're one of my favourite affordable make up brands and their Summer 2013 collection is a cracker!  I'll be reviewing the products themselves and showing them to you in more detail very soon on the blog, but I wanted to give you a little preview and whet your appetite!

If you want to Summer on the Riviera, then the bronzing make up will be right up your street.  First of all, I love the mix of bronze and teal packaging and things like that make me happy and want to use the products.

The BB Bronzing Cream (€13.99) intrigued me immediately as I hadn't heard of such a thing, so I'm curious to learn more about it and see if it does do any BB-esque things.  The Max Delight Bronzer (€9.99) looks and smells gorgeous and has a hint of shimmer in it to give you a sunkissed glow.  I'd heard about the Bronzing Primer (€13.99) and have been holding off on getting Chanel's Bronze Universelle until I had a go of this, so stay tuned for the review of that folks!

One of my go to looks during the summer is a neutral eye with bright coloured liner on the lower lashline.  Well, these coloured Volume Glamour Max Holidays mascaras (€7.99) are going to work very well altogether for me this summer.  I mean look at the turquoise and electric blue ones!  There's a purple one in the collection too but that was being used when I was going all paparazzi last week.  Although they're a smaller size than the regular mascaras, they contain the same amount of product, so perfect for travelling and they're waterproof!

There are four shades of the Color Boost (€10.49) lip crayons that are glossy, pigmented and totally summer appropriate!  The silk extract formula hydrates the lips, they feel really comfortable on and have an SPF of 15.  Can't go wrong really.

I got a bit giddy when I saw the Shine Edition lipsticks (€10.99).  There are six shades and each give shine, colour and comfort.  If you look at the lids of each of the lipsticks, you'll see they'll either be blue, coral, yellow or green and that's to correspond to the four nail polishes that are in the collection too.  So you can match your products if you like!

Below are three of the four 1 Seconde Nail Enamels (€7.99), we're just missing the yellow, Sunny Sunday.  I'm a huge fan of the nail enamels and can't wait to get busy with them.  Corals and blues are my favourite shades for the summer, so I think I'll be good to go, what do you think?

Finally are the much anticipated (by me) cream blushes (€10.49).  There are four cream-powder shades that really do feel gorgeous on the skin.  They have the same rose fragrance of the Little Round Pot Blushes and leave your skin with a healthy, natural glow.

I was given some of the products to try out and I'll be reviewing them in depth very soon.  So keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of months when these beauties are rolled out.  I've seen the cream blushes and the bronzing products in Boots already, so I'll review those first, what do you think?

I'm so happy it's summer now!

  4. I think that the Chanel creme bronzer better if you are looking to do contouring, as it's a harder texture and easier to control. But as an all over bronzing base I have to say I prefere the Bourjois one, the colour is better(at least for fair skins), it's not too orange. Really nice collection by Bourjois :) They are on fire lately!
