This afternoon's post comes courtesy of Nina of Nina's Bargain Beauty! I've been a long time fan of Nina'a blog and don't know how she does it all. She's a mam to five children (I know!) and still manages to find the time to put up quality blog posts! She does the best lip swatches out there and I find myself poring over those posts, trying to figure out which lipstick I want next. And the great thing is, she focuses on budget friendly brands, so I don't feel guilty at all when I go to make a purchase!
So of course, I had to ask Nina to do a guest post for me and thankfully she agreed! So sit back, relax and prepare to want to buy things!
Hey my beauties How are you all doing today :) Isn't it amazing the way the weather determines your mood sometimes I even see it in myself If i wake up and it is dark and dreary and raining I feel moody and lazy but when the sun is shining on your face when you wake you jump up in the best form and ready for the day ahead :) I have literally all the house work done beds changed clothes folded and put away kids gone to school washing on and floors washed all before 11 am now I am onto a blog post :)
Speaking of blog post, today's review is on my newest lipstick purchase From Catrice Cosmetics :)
I have reviewed a lipstick already from this range which is one of my favourite lipsticks and a perfect lipstick for any bride out there on her wedding day. To refresh your sweet memories click here to see that review (http://ninasbargainbeauty.blogspot.ie/2012/08/catrice-ultimate-colour-lipstick-190.html)
As I mentioned before Catrice Cosmetics has two lines of lipstick, the Ultimate Shine (which is not a favourite of mine) and the Ultimate Colour (which will always be a favourite). Today's lipstick I am reviewing is from the Ultimate Colour line and is actually one of the Newest shades release for the Spring/Summer 2013 and is permanent :)
I love the packaging its simple yet elegant and sturdy for the value of it :) The lipstick costs just under €5 per tube which is more than a bargain for a lipstick like this :)
The shade I just had to choose out of the new releases is 240 "Hey Nude". This is a beautiful pinky nude shade and perfect for anyone even the palest of people out there :) When I swatched this at first It reminded me so much of another lipstick I own in my collection but I had to buy it just to see. When I got home I went straight away to compare and I have to say This lipstick is not far off been a dupe of this particular lipstick. The lipstick I am talking about is the famous Mac Creme Cup :)
Mac Creme Cup is a little more on the pinker side than Catrice "Hey Nude" but to be honest its very close :)
I absolutely love how creamy and moisturising these lipsticks are and the fact that they are so pigmented for the price. They are so easy to apply and takes very little to apply all over the lips. I am in love with these and they will always be a favourite unless Catrice changes the formula which I hope they never do.
Also the fact that they have almost the same formula and finish as the Mac Creme Sheen range is an even more of a bonus :) You will see by the comparison picture later on what I mean :) Here is a swatch of this amazing shade :)
And here is the comparison picture of Catrice Hey Nude and Mac Creme Cup swatch taken in direct sunlight.
As you can see there is not much difference between the two of them is there :) Happy days :) :)
I absolutely love the shade for this time of the year and not only that its the perfect nude for a smokey eye look :) which can be worn at any time of the year :)
If you are looking for the perfect pinky nude shade that is not going to to break the bank plus looks like a Popular Mac Lipstick (shhhhhhh Don't tell anyone) well Catrice Ultimate Lipstick in "Hey Nude" is the one to go for :)
Thanks so much Nina for this brilliant post that now has me wanting to check out the Catrice stand even though I'm on a spending ban!
