Review! Vaseline Spray & Go body moisturiser - aloe fresh

On Saturday I legged it into town first thing for a wee look for shoes.  Like you do, I ended up in Boots and technically I was in there for painkillers for a headache that was a pain in the absolute hoop.  Of course, one doesn't just go into Boots without having a look and when I caught sight of this guy, I was very intrigued!

There were three variations of this Spray & Go body moisturiser from Vaseline on the shelves; Total Moisture which had pure oat extract in it, Cocoa Radiant which is infused with Cocoa Butter and the one I chose, Aloe Fresh, infused with pure aloe.  I picked the freshest smelling one as it's roasting out this weather, and went on my merry way, €6.99 less in my wallet.

As you probably know by now, I hate using body moisturisers at the best of times.  In the winter, it's generally too cold and I need to use something really rich to tackle my dry skin, which takes ages to absorb, and I usually end up feeling not unlike an ice cube.  In the summer, it's kind of the same thing, except it's usually too warm and everything I have is still too heavy and takes too long to absorb, making me all hot and sweaty again and feeling the need for another cool shower.

This Spray & Go body moisturiser was made for me.  It dispenses a light, even layer of moisturiser on my skin that takes a minute or two to absorb once I rub it in a bit.  It's not sticky or greasy and I can get dressed in quick time, making it my perfect morning moisturiser.

In terms of moisturisation, I'd say it gives a light-medium level of moisture, a body butter being on the high end of the scale.  In the winter, I'd like to try the other two scents to see if they'd be able to tackle my dry bits, but for the summer, where my skin is in decent shape anyway, the Spray & Go gives me enough to keep my skin feeling soft and hydrated.

If I was going on holidays, I'd be bringing this with me for sure, but for now, sunny Ireland will do me only grand!

Have you tried these yet?  Are you a lazy body moisturiser-er?!

  1. I am ridiculously bad with bodycreams but the Nivea in shower cream and Garnier spray have helped - must give this one a go!

  2. I was just about to recommend the Nivea in shower one, such a life saver. I'd say the spray on top in the winter would be great and I do have the ability to resemble a snake with eczema!

  3. I always moisturiser after a shower and moisturise a lot durning summer. I picked up the coco one on Thursday evening and no joke I had such fun re applying it over my slightly sun caught skin that it's nearly all gone

  6. This sounds like it'd be right up my street - I'm the exact same about body moisturisers so usually I don't bother. Most of the time I get away with it, but some sneaky dry patches have crept up lately, so this might be the perfect solution!

  8. I bought the Total Moisture (pure oat extract) one on Monday and have used it every day since it is fantastic. As the weather is so good and I'm sweaty betty, I'm showering morning and evening every day and quick spritz it sinks in perfectly.
I love the Nivea shower one too I think a combination of Nivea and this would be fantastic. Going to try the aloe one next.

  10. I have the "normal" Vaseline Aloe Fresh moisturiser and I love it for summer. I hate greasy creams on my skin. Am intrigued by this - I had a little play of it in Boots too! - but the price put me off, I always feel that products in a spray can don't last as long or something.
