Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz review review, before & after shots

Recently, Joanne has been a convert to the importance of eyebrows.  It has taken me many, many years to convince her of this fact.  She refused to let me pluck her brows which made it very hard to pencil or powder in any kind of shape.  A couple of years ago, she let me do her makeup for her Christmas party and try as I might to give her a bit of brow to help with the eye look, she went mental, saying she looked angry and like a man.  I told her that she just had eyebrows finally.

When she got her brows threaded in The Body Shop recently, she went wild in the whole brow product department and bought MAC's Omega and a 266 brush to powder them in, along with an eyebrow brush.  When we tried that at home, she wasn't convinced, so I gave her a lend of my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and sent her on her merry way.  She fell in love with it and ordered us one each from Cult Beauty and is now doing her eyebrows every day people.  Every day!

I bought one in New York and finished it up recently so the replacement came at a perfect time.  It has a teeny twist up pencil on one side and a spooly on the other.  The pencil is so small that you can do really tiny strokes on the brow to mimic a hair and gives such a natural finish to the brow.

Now Joanne is still in the early stages of learning how to do her brows and I'll need to do a few more lessons with her but you can see that the shade Ash Blonde is the perfect colour for her and moi too.  She still wants a natural brow so just pencils in the outer half.  I think I need to teach her a bit more about how to brush through the hairs eh?

I need something a bit more defined as I've itty bitty skinny brows.  I'm telling you, my eyebrows are the only skinny thing about me so I'm going to work them!

I don't think you can buy this in Ireland at the moment, but if you know of a place, let us know in the comments below.  Joanne got these on Cult Beauty for £15.50 each and they're well worth it!  Love it love it love it and it gets thumbs up from the two of us!

  1. so funny when you say that your eyebrows are the only skinny thing on you. know the feeling myself. Never realized the importance of nice tidy eyebrows until I moved to Ireland. I got threading myself last week and I look 10 years younger :) but I haven't used eyebrow pencil yet so I would give it a go !

    1. We're big fans of threading too. It's amazing how it can change your face so much! You'd love the pencil x

  2. I watched your video about your morning make-up routine and I saw this pencil in action, it really works great ! I might try a pencil alternative too because I have been using the ELF kit but it's a bit tedious so I think a pencil would be easier as I'm like you: always in a hurry (plus I'm very slow!!).
Do you know of a similar pencil but cheaper than 16€ and that you think would be available in France ? I'm a newbie in the brows department too, but I'm lucky because I don't need much maintenance on them as they are quite okay to begin with (I have never threaded nor plucked them yet).

    1. L'Oreal have new eyebrow pencils out at the moment. They're the regular pencils so need to be sharpened, but colour wise they're close to this one

  3. I just love that it has a spooly included, I can never find mine when I need it!
