Joanne got her eyebrows threaded at The Body Shop!

Today we're talking about the importance of brows.  For a million years, I've been trying to get Joanne to sort her eyebrows out.  She's never touched them until her Christmas party last year when she asked me to tweeze them.  I didn't know where to start!  Her brows are quite thick and the inner halves .are darker than the outer ones.  So it looks like she's got half brows and is permanently surprised!  I tried tweezing them back then, but she wouldn't let me do too much to them, so by the time I was going to pencil in the outer halves, it just looked awful!

Well, on Monday she was doing something very exciting altogether that you'll find out about very soon and when she told me the date, I told her, ordered her even, to get her brows sorted out as the entire country will be seeing them!  I'd gotten mine done in The Body Shop before and when they offered for us both to go in and get our eyebrows threaded, we jumped at the chance.  I just needed a little tidy up and Joanne needed the full weedwacker works!  ( We won't discuss how she started going up my forehead!  I would have collapsed if she'd have gone near my ronnie.)

So over to you Joanne!

"When Karen said to me that we were going to get our eyebrows threaded at The Body Shop, I was scared.  Firstly, it's The Body Shop, not a salon.  Would their threading be any good?  Secondly, my eyebrows are so fair at the end they look like they are bald so would I come out with no eyebrows at all?

But of course, Karen knows everything there is to know about beauty so I shouldn't have worried.   We popped into The Body Shop on Henry Street to get them and it literally took a couple of minutes to have perfectly groomed eyebrows.

To be honest when the girl started threading them I could feel hair all over my face, it was like she was cutting a hedge!  But I tried to relax and kept telling myself this girl knew what she was doing.

And she did.  My eyebrows are amazing. I love them so much. I have to slightly pencil in the outer half as my hairs are so fine and to give them more definition, but I am so happy with the results.  I've been converted and I will be getting them threaded all the time now.  It's slightly more painful than plucking or waxing but it's worth it as I came away with a huge smile on my face.  If you haven't tried threading, get yourself to your nearest Body Shop to try it. The before and after pictures of my eyebrows speak for itself.

Worried.  Not worried!
Eyebrow threading costs a mere €12 and so does a brow and lash tint.  Why didn't I listen to Karen before!  Thanks a million to The Body Shop for helping me pop my eyebrow cherry!
