I know I've said it before, but this week literally went by in a poof! All in all, it was a pretty great week, so let's get down to the nitty gritty and talk about my pit and peak of my week.
The pit of my week. During the week, I managed to fall back asleep after turning the alarm off. I generally set the alarm for 6.20am, promising I'll get up at 6.30 at the latest. I'm one of those weirdos who has to get up on a 5 minute interval, so when I looked at the clock and saw it was 6.31, knew I had to wait until it was 6.35. Well, I woke up at 7.00 and nearly had heart failure. I don't think I've ever gotten ready so quickly in my life and thankfully Bailey cooperated with me and didn't mess too much. I was obviously late for work but wasn't right for the morning. Not the best way to start your day!
The peak of my week. I'd a few little magic moments throughout the week that really made me smile. I met up with my pal Ruth for coffee on the same day I slept it out, so totally forgot her bag of goodies, but we had grand chats and laughs and realised we've known each other 10 years now. Yes we met when we were 15 *ahem*. I also got the chance to visit the L'Oreal offices during the week and had an absolute Devil Wears Prada moment being shown around the different departments. We won't mention that when I was waiting in reception, I was sitting right beside a store room full to the brim of products. A beauty junkie's dream!
My final peak of the week was today, when the shortlists for the Irish Blog Awards were announced and disappointingly, we didn't make the cut in any of the lists. We'd so many supportive Tweets from lovely ladies out there and the wise (and lovely) Caitriona from Wholesome.ie said something that made me give her a virtual hug. She said awards don't make her read a blog, good content does. And she's absolutely right. I love blogging so much and there's nothing I'd change about the blog at all! There are so many other brilliant blogs in the running for awards and I wish them every success and took to Twitter this morning to wish them well. I'll be rooting for a beauty blogger to win this year's Beauty & Fashion award!
