Smashbox Wondervision 2013 - Christmas present alert!

'Tis the season to be picking out presents for others (and yourself *ahem*) and lads, this post will have you sorted.  Last week Joanne asked me what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas as they're only a couple of weeks apart and I told her I didn't really want anything.  Joanne?  I changed my mind.  Read this post closely.

So yesterday I laid eyes on the Christmas offerings from Smashbox and everything is beautiful.  Everything.  This post is photo heavy, so get ready to Pinterest the living daylights out of the photos, make your wish list and if you're like me, go to your Smashbox counter and visit everything in person.

Smashbox Wondervision Mega Palette

The Wondervision Mega Palette (€60) has no less than 30 eyeshadows, three blushes and a bronzer.  All in sleek silver packaging and it comes with a huge mirror too.  And as the brand is very into educating the customer, it comes with a pictorial how to guide, giving you ideas on the millions of looks you can achieve with this palette.

It has lots of neutrals, some greens, blues, purples and some beautiful darker shades, ready for that festive smokey eye and has a mix of mattes and shimmery shades.

Like any Smashbox eyeshadows I've tried, the pigmentation is amazing and I had to delve into the shades that spoke to me with their little eyeshadowy voices.  Le sigh.

Smashbox Wondervision Lipgloss set

At Christmas, I'm all about sets and the Wondervision Lip gloss set is fantastic value at €25.  You can either gift the set as a whole, or if you've got a bunch of pals and want to make little goodie bags, you can split the set up and add more products to it.   You can't go wrong with a gloss in my book!

Smashbox Wondervision Eye Set

What do I love more than lip gloss sets?  Eyeshadow sets and the Wondervision Eye Sets (€39) are simply beautiful.  Designed to mimic a kaleidoscope, the eyeshadow palettes contain six shades that work in harmony together, making your job easier in terms of creating a makeup look.  They've a mix of shimmer and mattes and if the palette wasn't enough, the set comes with a Full Exposure mascara and a Limitless Waterproof Eye Liner in Onyx.

I'm not going to lie, the palette above and I had a grand moment yesterday and I think I'll have to do a bit of self gifting as I'm in The Ultimate Love with it.

Smashbox Wondervision Brush Set

The final piece in the Christmas Wondervision collection is the brush set (€60 - I'll check this price as I'm not 100%).  Made with synthetic hair, this five piece, full sized brush set is a keeper.  I've tried a few Smashbox brushes over the years and they're super soft, last for ages and check out the chrome handles!  I don't think it's actual chrome, but it looks good!  These would make a great gift and an even better investment if you're so inclined.  The set has a face brush, an eyeliner and three eyeshadow brushes, all housed in a padded silver pouch.

I know… It's a lot to take in!  But this is the thing, it's Christmas.  Well, it will be next month.  You need to buy presents and people need to buy presents for you.  Feel free to send this post to your loved one if you see anything you like!

What's speaking to you?

  6. Part of me is kinda over huge massive eyeshadow sets (even If I know smashbox make flipping brilliant ones full of beautiful pigment). It might also be cause I have a ton and a half of eyeshadows and get a twinge of guilt when I buy another one. However I am all over the wondervision sets I want one. NOW. do you think it would ok to buy the set and gift the mascara to people? what are peoples thoughts on this
