Smashbox Wondervision Eye Set - Sparks photos, swatches

So yes, a few days after seeing what Smashbox have in store for us this Christmas, I found myself in Arnotts over the weekend and funnily enough, as if by magic, stopped at the Smashbox counter.  Ahem.  I'd been obsessing over the the Wondervision eye sets since laying eyes on them and just thought I'd not beat around the bush and buy one.  It was going to happen at some stage, so why not Saturday?

I bought the Sparks set and there are two other beauts in the range too so make sure you have a squizz yourself when you're at a counter next.  For €39.00 (actually I'd a fiver on my Arnotts rewards card so 'twas only €34 for me) you get the palette with six eyeshadows, a full sized Full Exposure mascara and a jet black Limitless Eye Liner.  Pa-retty great value if you ask me.

Oh and you also get three get the look cards which gives you ideas on how to achieve different looks, thus justifying the purchase of the palette.  I'm all about justification when purchasing makeup and the fact that the looks are all totally different is the icing on the cake!

The star of the show though is the kaleidoscope inspired Sparks palette.  The mix of matte and shimmery shadows in this peachy bronzy palette means it's a palette I know I'll get a lot of use out of long after Christmas is gone.  (Another justification there people.)

Each of the six shadows are creamy, pigmented and so easy to work with.  I haven't met a Smashbox shadow I haven't loved and Sparks is no exception.  Look at it!

It's nice to have a palette with warm golds for a change because they suit the festive season perfectly, but are still summer friendly too.  And the peach and coral shades add more warmth again and make Sparks one of my favourite palettes in my collection.

There's a matte peach shade, a peachy gold shade that looks like Nars Orgasm in eyeshadow form,  a shimmery gold shade, a peachy coral shade with a pearlised finish, a dark bronze shade with flecks of gold shimmer running through it and a dark cocoa brown shade to finish up the palette.

Now, I felt that the palette needed it's own video, so make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to see Sparks in action very soon!

What do you think?  Is Sparks on your wish list this Christmas?
