Red & gold Christmas makeup look!

Nights out at Christmas are the best.  Everywhere is lit up with masses of twinkly lights, everyone's in great form, we get to dress up and most of all, pack on the makeup!

It's a time to don the red lipstick and get busy with your gold eyeshadow, so I thought it was fitting to start my series of Christmas makeup tutorials with a traditional festive look!

Products used:

  • L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation - shade 100
  • Smashbox Brow Tech To Go
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion - Eden
  • Smashbox Wondervision Eyeshadow palette - Sparks
  • Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer
  • Eyeliner from the Smashbox Sparks set
  • L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Effect mascara - Blackest Black
  • Smashbox Bronze Lights Bronzer - Sunkissed Matte
  • Nars Torrid Blush
  • Smashbox Halo Highlighting Wand
  • Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick - Legendary

This makeup look is so easy!  With the exception of the red lip (I know), I wore it out on Saturday night and had a great evening altogether!  I love the sparkly eyes, the luminous skin and it'd make a lovely Christmas party look.

Let me know if you enjoyed the video and what makeup look you'd like to see next.  I'm full of ideas and now that I know how to film properly with my lighting setup, I'm ready to get cracking!

  1. Love this makeup look! Very festive & really suits you :)

  2. You are gas!!! I giggle all the way through your posts - and you make putting make up on look so easy!! I'm gonna try the gold look - thank you!!! :))

  3. Great tutorial, like the idea of cleaning up with undereye concealer after shadow (why have I never dome this before!). Also want to say thanks for informing me of the existence of the Maybelline brocade nail polishes- amazing! Tinsel in a bottle!

  4. Love this look! I tried using your technique by dotting foundations on face first and blend out. Really love it! I can't believe I've never tried doing this way before!

I have ordered Wondervision in Flash, I think it's called... the rose taupe version and I am looking forward to getting it! And that mascara!!!! You make it look so easy to apply!!! :D
