Vichy Idealia Life Serum review - the perfect remedy for post Christmas skin!

'Twas the season to be jolly wasn't it?  We had more parties and nights out over the month of December than we had all year and let's be honest, we said no to none of them!  We went to everything going and made sure we got good use out of our Christmas jumpers, met up with friends who had returned for overseas, having welcome home drinks and farewell drinks, any excuse wha?

Don't even get me started on the mince pies and other Christmassy accoutrements... We'd long gone through boxes of Roses we bought in October as they were on sale and we were trying "to be organised".  Ahem.  Christmas Day consisted of a big turkey dinner, the likes of which sent us into a food coma due to fullness and yet we were still able to have a grand turkey or ham sambo that night.

Times like this takes it's toll on our skin and yet I wouldn't have it any other way.  That's what January is for in my book.   So if you're looking for something that will help your skin recover from the excesses of Christmas, then look no further than Vichy Idealia Serum.

In January, I'm all about bringing back healthy skin.  And the Vichy Idealia Life Serum has given life back into my face.  The LR2412 molecule that was made famous by Lancome Visionnaire is the star of the show, but in a lower % which is reflected in the price.  But to help increase it's oomph, it's been paired up with LHA, a derivative of salicylic acid which stimulates cellular renewal.  Cellular renewal means no dead skin cells and more radiant skin, thank you very much, I'll be having some of that.

I use it every morning, just a weeny pump and it absorbs quickly into my skin.  It has a light texture, a faint floral scent and a slight pearly finish to it that gives a hint of a glow.  My skin feels smoother, looks brighter and more radiant, my skintone is evened out which makes for a happy Karen.  I can apply my moisturiser over the top right after and then get to applying my makeup.   Speaking of makeup, I don't know if it's coincidental or not, but since I started using Idealia Life Serum, I've been using mainly BB and CC creams, only needing a light coverage.  Hmm...

Along with helping skin recover from life's excesses, it's also aimed at helping improve skin tone, skin contrasts like uneven skin, expressivity and skin balance like pores and any dry or oily patches.  Now, they talk about expressivity as having a sad, tired looking face.  I don't think a serum will help me not look sad, but I'll let them away with that because all in all, my skin has most definitely improved since using it and that's the main thing for me.

I've now started my second bottle of this and truth be told, I'll be buying a third.  €34.50 is the damage which is very reasonable considering the ingredients involved.  An absolute winner!
