I gave an overview of the Opalescence collection from Clarins here but I had to show you the Multi-Blush in the shade Candy in more detail because it's a beaut. It's one of those things I knew I was going to love before I tried it and I like to think of it as blogger's intuition when in reality, I think I have enough corally blushes in my ridiculous collection to know that I knew I was going to like it.
But it's the silky texture that's the winner for me here. In spring and summer, I tend to lean towards cream based products because they look so natural on the skin and they last for ages. This has a cream to powder finish that gives my face that "just walked through a meadow of flowers" look when all I did was lash a bit of this on at 6.30 in rubbish lighting but still managed to look halfway decent.
It contains floral waxes from rose, mimosa, jojoba and sunflower, helping prevent dehydration. Now isn't that a grand justification to buy a piece of makeup? "Oh this? Well I obviously need it to make myself look purty and to keep my cheeks hydrated."
This is why I need to wear mascara. Beady villainous eyes but grand cheeks |
I'm hoping that the collection will be on counters in March as I'm back on my spending ban this month but have the want for at least two more of these and at €22, they're bang on budget for something that a) looks gorgeous on the skin, b) can be used on the lips too so multifunctional which is grand and c) keeps your cheeks hydrated.
I think my work here is done. Go and visit these blushes and hydrate your cheeks like a good child.
Well if it keeps cheeks hydrated then i’m sold!
