I'd been dying to get my paws on this and when it arrived last week, I couldn't wait to get it on my face. Now this isn't a review, more of a first impressions post and so you can prepare yourself for the impending purchase because 5 days in and I'm hooked.
We know that serums are packed full of concentrated skincare ingredients and having it mixed with an oil just adds even more goodness to the skin, giving you the benefit of both products. This contains wheatgerm oil which is one of the highest sources of Vitamin E and also has sunflower, jojoba, marula, sesame and soya oils, all from Community Fair Trade farmers of course.
Don't do what I did the first night I used it and used nearly half a dropper's amount to my hands and nearly drowned my face in the product. No, only a few drops warmed up in the palms of your hands and then pressed on to your face is all you need. It feels really lightweight on the skin and absorbs nice and quickly. It's lightly fragranced, almost of baby powder which I love and is the perfect way to send me to sleep after I'm showered and ready for bed.
When I use this we're talking soft, plump skin the next day and that's without using a moisturiser afterwards. When I do my full night-time routine and cleanse, tone, use the Serum-in-Oil and then moisturise, my skin doesn't know what it's done to deserve such treats, but it's happy!
If you're trying to cut down steps in your skincare routine, then this will take care of your serum and facial oil in one. And if you want to cut down another step, then add a couple of drops of this into your night time moisturiser for an even higher dose of nourishment before you conk out.
The Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil is on shelves this month and will set you back €22. That's pretty reasonable in my opinion, but less so when I see it's only £12 in the UK, which doesn't equate to €22. Stay tuned to see if it makes it into my February Favourites video!
