Tanya Burr lip glosses in shades Afternoon Tea and Let's Travel The World - photos, review, swatches

I love when I see bloggers and YouTubers doing well in the real life beauty industry and with the launch of her own line of lip glosses and nail polishes, Tanya Burr is kickin' ass and takin' names!

With 12 shades of glosses and 10 nail polish shades, it was a launch that set the blogosphere alight and I couldn't wait to get my paws on some bits.  Being available from Cloud10Beauty, it was only a matter of time before I succumbed to temptation and picked up a few necessities (ahem), and I think you'll see I was very restrained!

And look, only two glosses were purchased!  First of all, I love the packaging.  Plastic, sturdy and sleek with Tanya's signature on the side.

When I'm buying things I can't swatch, I tend to be a bit cautious and pick up shades that are on the safe side.  So nudes and corals essentially.

Each side of the doe foot applicator has a little groove in it which means it sits nicely on the lips when applying the product.  The glosses themselves smell like sweets and I have to stop myself from licking my lips.   Let's Travel The World is a wonderful orangey red shade that surprisingly I love more than Afternoon Tea which is a creamy pinky nude.  It's easy to over apply Afternoon Tea because it's so creamy, so I tend to apply whatever's on one side of the applicator to both lips.

Each of the glosses feel so smooth on the lips and aren't sticky at all.  They fade away nicely and Let's Travel The World leaves a light stain on the lips.

Afternoon Tea is a bit too pink for me as I generally like warmer, more caramel nudes, but thankfully Tanya has more nudes for me to try in her stash.  If you're looking for a pretty pink that's wearable and flattering, then definitely check this one out.

Let's Travel The World is a much juicer colour and is going to be perfect this summer.  In some light it looks more red and in others it has a slight pink tone to it and while I bought it thinking it was going to be coral, I'm very pleasantly surprised!

You can find the glosses on Cloud10beauty and will set you back €8.50.   If you're outside of Ireland you can also find them on FeelUnique.  Yes, I already have my eye on Chic, Champagne Toast and Just Peachy.  I'm trying to be good and not spend....

  4. They look really lovely! I wasn't sure if I was going to pick them up as I am not particularly into gloss anyway but at €8.50 it would be a sin not to... right? ;) I love the Let's Travel The World on you, such a pretty summer shade! x

  5. I bought Chic and Vampire Kiss. Chic is a lovely peachy nude but a bit pale for me to wear on its own. I have a Daniel Sandler lipstick in Shy and it is perfect with it. I bought Vampire Kiss after seeing someone on You Tube swatching it. It's gorg!!! I also bought three nail varnishes and they are fab too, very pigmented and long wearing. Think I will have to go back for Let's Travel The World as it looks like it would be perfect for summer.
