What a difference a day makes. 'Twas Wednesday morning and I'd not a care in the world. I'd a little chip in my nail polish on my index finger and that was good going for me who's hands and nails get messed up lots in work. Cut to me at lunch time and it started... I began absentmindedly picking at the chip, making it bigger. Then I felt bad and started picking the polish off the same part of my nail on my other index finger. As the day went on, I went hell for leather and just started picking at any remote inkling of a chip on the rest of my nails.
This is what my nails look like now. I know. The shame. But I can't help it. Half the time I don't realise I'm doing it! I was too tired to think of taking it off last night and now have to go to meetings today like this. Even now as I'm typing this, I'm peeling it off. Why does something so bad feel so good?
So tell me now like a good child, what's your worst beauty habit? Are you a nail polish picker offer or do you have some other deep dark beauty bad habit that you'd like to share with the gang? Go on and make me feel better about my awful habit!
ohhh i hated this sooo much !!

I'm so jealous of your lovely nails!!
DeleteI'm a divil with my nails always at them! They're a disgrace:)
ReplyDeleteI'm in great company so ;P
DeleteI'm picking at the little skins around my nails... which often results in ugly dehydrated bloody fingers...
ReplyDeleteI've been doing that forever and I can't stop ! But I'm lucky because my skin heals fast.
Oh and I sometimes bend my nails down, even if it leads to breakage... If you look at my nails 2 or 3 of them on each hand have one corner permanently lower than the others :/
I do that too with the skin around my nails, such a bad habit. My nails are ok now strength wise but I go through phases were they're so weak, it's very annoying
DeleteI've two, both nail related. Picking the skin around my nails and not changing nail polish for days on end no matter how chipped it gets. The horror!- claire
ReplyDeleteGood bridie yourself!!!
DeleteI am a terrible nail picker, I will never have nice nails because I can't stop!!
ReplyDeleteI know it's such a bad habit to be stuck with and I'm the exact same, pain in the hoolahoop!
Delete*whispers* I haven't been taking my makeup off at night.......I KNOW, I KNOW
ReplyDeleteSHARD'N what are you playing at?!?! (I totally do the same sometimes, shhhh, I won't tell if you don't)
DeleteWhile my fingernails might look perfect, my toenails... I've been known to let polish grow out... *wretch* And my furry legs... Don't mention the war. Right durt burd I am!
ReplyDeleteI pick nail polish off too, my nails are in an awful state at the moment because I picked shellac off, twice. The manicurist gave out to me after the first time so I haven't gone back since.
ReplyDeleteI always do this too, I don't do it absent mindedly though - I love peeling polish off, leaves my nails in a complete state though they are so dried out!
ReplyDeleteI do the exact same thing!! And it makes my nails really dry and they peel even more, but I just can't help it ... :O
