Launching mid May, the Bourjois 1 Seconde mascara was love at first swipe for me. I got it to play with a few weeks ago and it's rarely been off my lashes since. There's the regular version which is the one below with the orange band and the waterproof version has a blue band, just in case you end up standing in Boots trying to figure out what's what!
I'm loving the mirrored packaging and it means I can find it easily when it's plonked in my makeup bag along with everything else. Now you know I can't talk about mascaras without discussing the wand with plenty of innuendo, so come on, let's get it over with. My wand has balls. I know. I ain't lyin'. The technical term is "wraparound spheres", but they're balls. Look at them.
The balls, sorry, "spheres", are alternated between the evenly sized bristles and promises to envelop each lash. That's what they all say, but does it work?
It stays put all day and there's no flaking or smudging whatsoever. When it comes to removing it, it takes minimal effort even with my trusty faithful Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.
I think the sign of a great mascara, for me anyway, is the ability to wear it on it's own with no liner or eyeshadow and still feel made up and put together.
It's the closest balls have gotten to my eyes in quite some time... Ok ok I'm done with the rudeness!! This mascara is fantastic and is definitely one to check out when it launches!
Hahaha nice ones :)
ReplyDeleteI must try that mascara ! Today I tried the Bourjois 1 seconde nail polish, must be a sign ^^ (it's great too btw)

ReplyDeleteI like a good set of balls Karen! I've used a similar wand to this before (balls and all) and it did the job well but was difficult to get hold of until recently. I love the sound of this mascara - will definitely be trying it out! x
