Introducing Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream

It's very rare where I'll write about skincare so soon after starting to use it, but sometimes, something very special comes along and all my rules go out the window.  I've been using the Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correction Cream for about two weeks now and while I generally wait a month or so to review skincare, this has knocked me upside the head and I couldn't wait to tell you about it.

You've most likely heard of Visionnaire, Lancome's first serum infused with the much talked about LR2412 molecule, which works on all layers of the skin to help with wrinkles, pores and skin texture.  It's an ingredient  that has filtered down to brands like L'Oreal and Vichy, so that everyone can afford a piece of the action.

So Lancome has created the Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream for women who "are looking for richer textures to complement or replace a serum but still want multiple benefits".  And let the record show, since I've started using it, I've used a serum only twice.

For me, a moisturiser is a must every day and using a serum is an added extra.  I'm lucky in that I get to try out serums and there are a few I'd purchase myself only if I'd the cashola at the end of the month, but with a moisturiser, that's an absolute 100% necessity for me.  But having a cream like this with the benefits of a serum would sweeten the deal even more when making a purchase.

Right off the bat, the first time I applied it, I knew we were working with luxury.  This is by far the silkiest, smoothest thing I've ever put on my face and despite it's really lightweight texture, my skin instantly felt hydrated, but that kind of hydration after you've put on a thick, unctuous cream.  Every time I use it, my skin is immediately left feeling smooth and soft and the hyaluronic acid gives me a grand plumping effect.  Speaking of which, after 3-4 uses, I could see a definite reduction in one of my frown lines.  I like to call them my concentration lines, but really I have sensitive eyes and find everything too bright so end up wearing shades all the time!

I've been using it morning and night for the past two weeks and have seen a definite improvement in my skin in general.  I've mentioned the frown lines but have to give a mention to how plumped up my skin is since I started using it.  I look like a girl of 30 again!

It is spendy at €73, but here are some justifications if you're in the market for a new cream.  Look at the packaging.  It's gorgeous.  You can do without a serum when using this which will technically save you money.  But if you buy it and don't like it, which is very doubtful, then feel free to send it to me because I'm in love!

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream is on counters in May and my advice?  Hightail it to your local Lancome counter and feel this on your skin for yourself and you'll see what I'm talking about!

  1. I got a couple of sample sachets of this earlier today and I can't wait to try it. The SA told me that they got it in 2 weeks ago and they cannot keep it in stock.

  5. I got one and tried it, but I'm not sure if I got an old batch of it because it smells like cheap old lady perfume. What's it supposed to smell like?

  6. Continuing from the previous message, I mean I like what it does for my skin, but I cannot get over the fragrance.....it's so bad that I had to wash it off. Thoughts anyone?? I'd greatly appreciate it.
